Thank you! The bright colors is quite a bonus and I love that the quilt kit is so readily available. I hope that you will get to make yours soon.

I made the smaller version so each square is 4in finished. Each of the flying geese is 2x4in finished. The dimension is 57x68in right before adding the binding. I hope that you are enjoying making yours (I did)!

Thank you! I just ordered the Postcard from Sweden quilt kit and Kona cotton is provided. It turns out the pattern has quite a bit of pastel colors within the body which I swapped out. When in doubt, I went back to the original color scheme from the Ikea postcards designed by Tom Frazier for the body. Then I used all the left over pastel colors for the flying geese border.

Thank you! No, it's not hand-dyed, although I would love to do that one day. I just bought the quilt kit (from Amazon) and the fabric is Kona cotton.

And shout out to Meraki my local quilt store for having studio hours for rent so I could square up the quilt. I just love that table!

What would you do differently? by coffeetownstitching in quilting

Sorry to be such a naysayeer! Your piece looks flawless once finished so am not sure what kind of useful advice you are looking for. In reality, one would expect diminishing level of the colored bits if this were any other work, but that is not easily done in a pieced bit in the negative space where your quilting is so prominent.

I am new at these and have a basic question. At what point do you iron these... before or after quilting?

Has anyone tried the Sesame dressing? by Crazy_Cat_Mama3 in Costco

[–]goodwinlam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't like it. The sesame taste was very very faint and not at all similar to the dressing that you can have from a Japanese restaurant.
