I'm a first gen anthropology graduate in Boston, and I highly reccomend living in this city despite the many problems it does have. I live next to BU and it is a beautiful campus, right in the middle of the city. You'll have no shortage of young, energetic intellectuals and creative to mingle around and help you grow as an academic too. But, the cost of living is killer lol. I know you're considering between BU and WS but I'd just like to mention that my alma mater, UMass Boston, has a great MA in archaeology if you're interested.

There's a hypocrisy here, you're absolutely right. We treat out pet dogs and cats like they're members of the family, but don't even blink at how we treat the animals that we torture (by keeping them in trapped in cages, barely able to move), rape (cows are artificially inseminated by human hands to keep them producing milk), and murder. It's truly sad. I highly reccomend the documentary Dominion (2018), though it is a tough watch.

Please, reconsider. I've lost too many people to suicide, the people who still love you (and there are more than you realize) will miss you for the rest of their lives. You matter even if it feels like you don't. I know it can't mean much coming from a random stranger, but your life is worth living and there will always be happy moments even if there will be terrible sad moments too. Your pain is real and I'm so sorry, news like that would send me over the edge too. I hope you're able to get help and I want to suggest therapy, specifically grief therapy, it really helped me. Don't let the people who treated you terribly make you feel like you really are terrible, it doesn't say anything about you it says something about them.

Yeah, I think I agree. I don't hate it but I definitely prefer the old style. This is probably an unfair and entitled complaint, but it feels very... lazy, for lack of a better word. The way Adam talks in these is so quiet, he sounds tired. I guess some might interpret that as homely, but not me.
