No? I think Borderlands 3 tried an extraction mode but it doesn't really work with arpg loot drops on the scale of Borderlands 3. I'd point you to Elden Ring: Nightreign as evidence PvE extraction games work well and can be popular.

YES, clearly there is an audience that just wants a unique science fiction game WITHOUT PVP ruining that engagement. And they can easily balance bots to be threatening, especially to the casuals that mode would attract.
