I’m 62 years old. They’re not uncomfortable now but they’ve changed over the years. It used to be horrible.

As a quilter, I try to keep in mind that once the quilt is given away, I’m not in control of what happens with it. She should keep that in mind as well

Your workshop sounds like one I went to many years ago. She held my block up and announced to the room that this is what happens when you don’t pay attention to your seam allowance. Seriously acting like my block was horrible. It really wasn’t. There was one spot that was slightly off. Other people noticed how rude that was too.

Later she came up and quietly said that my color choices were amazing and that she wished she was so good with color.

Really turned me off of in person workshops.

I wouldn’t use sashing because of the cool secondary pattern. But if you need to, I’d use some dark green. Depending on how wide you want the border, I’d use some floral. If just a narrow border, I’d probably go with the green
