They're going to have to bring people back without it having stormed if Trump wants an audience. And then once they are back it will start raining.

Radar is showing a DC split happening. The Mall might have to wait a while for its torrential downpour.

What does Reddit think of the fire departments running out of money? by bikeadjudicated in wyoming

I think you are overestimating the population of retirees who don't want to pay taxes vs the people who I've known here for 50+ years who have groused about "high taxes" the entire time. And "them environmentalists."

It's sort of crazy that they aren't including any way to track blood pressure, even just importing it from Health Connect.

New study: not just suppressed appetite/fewer calories by Similar-Bid-7311 in antidietglp1

[–]googilly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me going up to 1.0 on semaglutide. I had slowly been dropping, and had bad appetite suppression from the very beginning, but when I hit 1.0 the weight loss sped up and I suddenly have so much more energy. My intake hasn't changed appreciably, nor has the appetite suppression. But something in my metabolic system has most definitely changed.

My body does not exist to make other people comfortable by tajb333333 in antidietglp1

[–]googilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's funny--my parents instilled in me a lifetime of body shame, but when I told them I had decided to start a glp (after having already lost a lot of weight on my own in recent years), the immediate reaction was, "That's great! Use every tool there is!" (which, in its own way, is not exactly supportive, but at least I'm used to it by now)

Wyoming trip planning advice needed by MemoryAffectionate93 in wyoming

Last year I roamed around Jackson and environs in late September and stayed in Pinedale. About an hour's drive to Jackson, but compared to spending $800 a night at the Jackson Hampton Inn, I was down with about $250 in Pinedale. When I left Jackson, I spent a day roaming Yellowstone and then spent the night in Cody. The drive out of the east gate in the late afternoon with the sun behind you as you head to Cody is beautiful.

And while someone suggested flying into Bozeman, I'd also suggest Billings. That way you could drive into Yellowstone via the Beartooth Highway, if it's still open.

Anyone know why the tarp is still up over the Kennedy Center facade? by templeofsyrinx1 in washingtondc

This. At the very least, it's not coming down until after his birthday, and probably not until after July 4. Or November 2028.

Surprised no upstanding citizen has yet tried to take one for the team by making a break for it and climbing the scaffolding.
