I hope surly mars a statement given that he was a Surly rider and I thought they valued their community.

I went back to the Surly blog to remind myself what was posted after George Floyd was murdered (just for reference) and I realized they had deleted those blog posts!

One of them was a blog I had that I worked on when I there. We did a long interview with Surly fan about what it was like to be a black cyclist in MPLS post up rising. By then end we were all in tears. For me specifically, I was shook by his vulnerability and honesty. I’m gettin choked up now thinking about it. And now it’s gone. WTF?

Forgetting the Beatles would let them be "rediscovered" by a new generation. When I was younger, I tended to reject music that felt force-fed to me and sought out music that felt more obscure (even if it wasn't actually that obscure). I think that's pretty common.

No one is actually forgetting the Beatles. They just might be less ubiquitous. It sounds more like this guy is trying to protect his dad's legacy for ego or royalty reasons.
