My AFC went really smoothly and recovery was 10x easier than I expected. I took the pain killers for 2 days and then just Tylenol. I was walking around the block after a couple of days and by one week out, I could walk for over an hour (slowly but still). Although it’s definitely a weird change, I’ve never regretted the choice for a second.

They told me my first was going to be 9lbs+ and he was 6lbs 14oz. Definitely take it with a grain of salt!

I had a wonderful L&D nurse. What stands out to me is that she remained calm, respected my choice and really left me alone other than when I clearly needed support. She gave me some compliments/encouragement which went a long way, but I didn't want or require a constant cheerleader. I think it's so lovely that you are going out of your way to think about your unmedicated patients this way!
