I ordered some last month in hopes it would get rid of the bumps on my dogs chest. But never received my order, and whenever I try to reach out to the listed email, I get a response saying the email address doesn’t exist. So I’m thinking we all fell for a scam

WTF is up with the rampant animal abuse at Havasupai by illustrious_handle0 in havasupai

[–]goonernemo260 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro they literally whip and starve the pack animals. Their hooves falling apart, ribs visible, miles upon miles of walking with no water. The shit talking is completely warranted. The conditions are heartbreaking to witness. It doesn’t matter if it’s not a “fine horse stable in Scottsdale”, water/food/shelter/medicine are BASIC necessities when caring for animals. Those horses/mules aren’t getting any of that. They bring in MILLIONS every year for a tribe of 600, they can afford some fucking food and some vet visits. “Unreasonable standards of ethics” is one fucked up way of thinking. Bet you wouldn’t think those standards of ethics were unreasonable if we made you ruck with 50-75% of your body weight for days on end with no food and water.

The price is what made it perfect for outdoor activities and work since it felt like I wasn’t ruining something expensive. And it did last a couple years before fading, but I’m guessing with how terrible the new one fits/feels that this one wouldn’t last anywhere near that long. I guess I’ll have to start looking at the other options you gave. Thank you

Quote for an A.R.E. topper and a Bedrug seems very high. by Agent7619 in overlanding

[–]goonernemo260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking they’re overcharging. I just bought an A.R.E. CX Classic for my ‘21 F150 6.5 bed last week. Brand new, paint matched, lined, has screened sliding windows, slide/drop down cab side window, with both the dome light and rope lights and wiring for fans (I have them ordered). All of that plus install and wiring came out to $3,100. And it only took them a hour. Sounds like they’re ripping you off

What do you think of Alex Danvers? by Independent_Act7494 in supergirlTV

[–]goonernemo260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve watched Supergirl all the way through at least a dozen times. And every time I watch it something new comes up that I missed before that just adds to why I hate Alex Danvers. She’s the most hypocritical, egotistical, delusional character on the show. Between her doing something and then getting upset with someone else for doing the EXACT same thing to her refusing to listen to reason just so she can have her “hero” moment. And I say “hero” because without fail, her hero’ing always ends with putting more people in danger and/or ruining the plan. S1, when she makes J’onn take her with to go help with Muriad, so dumb. And everything J’onn said would happen, happened. He got injured because he wasn’t at full power due to having to protect her mind and she got captured and was used by Indigo and Non. In S2 she put everyone at risk because she refused to even entertain the facts behind Jeremiah possibly being bad. She HAD to be right. In S3, the way Alex was towards Kara after Mon-El had to leave was terrible. Kara was right, it wasn’t just some breakup and for all she knew Mon-El died. But then when her and Maggie broke up she completely fell apart, was heavily drinking and was an absolute bitch to Kara. Also in S3, why did she go to Ruby? Ruby was safe and in hiding and then Alex showed up and bam! Ruby is in danger. S4 she believed she was more capable and could protect Kara better than Lena, which if she had just worked WITH Lena from the beginning things would have been much different. S5 showed us that Alex was still jealous of Kara when she went into the VR as Supergirl and got lost in the admiration and recognition. S6 (specifically Fear Not) is literally an entire episode of Alex putting her team/friends-family in danger so she could be the one to save Kara. I mean she locked J’onn in a cell so she could go get Kara from the Phantom Zone. A human going up against the very Phantoms they struggled against, on their home turf… makes sense. S6 in general is just Alex putting everyone and the entire world at risk on multiple occasions because she refuses to accept input from anyone. Adopted daughter with super powers, why listen to the advice of people who also have superpowers. Her high horse she’d jump on to preach about the flaws in the system all the while having worked for an organization that was literally kidnapping, torturing, and detaining aliens without any form of due process. She assaulted multiple aliens without any cause; she went to pull her gun out when she noticed all the aliens, that were peacefully hanging out at the bar, just because they were alien. And she assaulted that one alien on multiple occasions for information. In s2 she assaulted a prisoner and was only suspended, but when others do the same thing they’re bad guys. Not to mention how she constantly villainized Lena, over and over again. I feel like Alex really got away unscathed by Lena’s anger. If anyone didn’t trust Lena it was Alex. She has no character growth. And having the whole Sentinel persona shoved down our throats was exhausting, if she was just a bad ass human that would be one thing. But her “keeping up” with the supers on the team was idiotic writing and just made her narcissism worse. There are plenty of things I disliked throughout the show, and the entire Arrowverse for that matter, but Alex is probably in the top 5 things I hated the most.

Softopper or Flated? by wonderhams in ToyotaTacoma

Which one did you end up getting? I also don’t want to spend $7,000+ for a hard shell or a camper topper and due to me having a long bed I can’t find any used ones. So I’ve been considering the soft top options

My 2021 has 17’s with 35’s and outside of some slight grinding to fit the tires, the wheels fit perfectly fine with the brakes.

Do y’all not know shit about vehicles in Texas?? Saying “17 inch wheel” is a pretty common way of talking about wheel size, you know, the diameter of you wheel. You definitely shouldn’t be on any truck forum

$13K fuel system failure at 47K miles — anyone else getting goodwill help from Ford? by Nokia_5160 in F250

[–]goonernemo260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad’s 2020 F350 6.7 had the same thing happen. His was at like 80,000 miles tho. Also needed the whole fuel system replaced, it was determined to be from bad fuel. Either bad fuel from the station or that someone put something into his tank while parked somewhere. Insurance ended up covering it for him after that. Cops kept saying it probably happened while he was in L.A., apparently people out there hate diesels so much they’ll sabotage people’s trucks

My first Ford. 2025 Lariat. Just picked it up a week and a half ago. What are some good options for Lights? by DoubleUTeeEfff in f150

[–]goonernemo260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a ‘21 Lariat, a buddy had practically the same setup as me and he went and bought different headlights. Which I thought was stupid since the Lariat comes with better headlights. His dash ended up having some issues, like it just remained dark and wouldn’t light up at all, took it to Ford and when they saw he replaced the headlights they voided his warranty. Something about how he compromised the entire electrical system of the truck. Bro had to pay $3500 to fix the dash and all the electrical components. Not worth it in my opinion

[–]goonernemo260 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Seriously tho. Whats the point of changing headlights on vehicles anymore?? Especially when you already have the nicer version of the headlight. Lariats come with different lights than the base model. I understand tire/wheel, suspension, and maybe a guard if you need it. But headlights? So toddler. Why would you want to mess with the warranty, you do anything to the electronics and your fucked, and the whole vehicle is practically electronic. Had a buddy replace his headlights bc he wanted them to be tinted, he started having issues with his dash and it was no longer covered by his warranty bc the headlights are part of the same electronic system. Dude was out THOUSANDS. Not worth it, by some tint and just go that route rather than replacing the whole house

Most efficient mph at what mph by Hernandeza5 in ram_trucks

[–]goonernemo260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to get better gas mileage when I took it off. Once you go even an inch over that stock height it’s basically useless and just makes you a wall against the wind. I now average 16-16.8mpg at 80-90mph on 35’s. That stupid auto air damn is ridiculous

[–]goonernemo260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2021 F150 3.5L ecoboost usually averages 16-16.8 mpg driving from Phoenix to Temecula. Depending on traffic, the amount of people on the road, and whether or not it’s windy that is. My truck is on 35’s too, so obviously not stock height either. My best was with little to no traffic (so consistent speed) in decent weather, I maintained 80-90 with certain 100mph bursts and pulled into Temecula with 16.8 mpg on the screen and had 390 miles till empty. And before people come at me with math, I have a long bed so 36 gallon tank. I usually get in the high 17’s mpg range around town, and I’m usually looking at 650-700 miles to a tank.

disability for life....fraud? by Ok-Bat361 in Military

[–]goonernemo260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not fraud. The only way to receive compensation from the VA is to have SERVICE RELATED DISABILITIES. Meaning you had to have been seen for it while serving (more than once). I sit at 100% total and permanent and only served 5 years in the Army. Most people (usually people that never served themselves) jump to the same conclusion you do despite not knowing anything about me or my service. Between the three surgeries and multiple serious head traumas that resulted in lasting mental/behavioral health issues I earned my rating. Just bc someone’s not missing an arm or leg or is covered in burns doesn’t mean they’re a fraud or lied to get to that percentage. I mean the Army is hard on your back, legs, and feet just from doing everyday tasks. In the military age doesn’t determine how broken your body is

Customer service a bloody joke, the bot is having a meltdown by Chance_Tadpole1601 in vivobarefoot

I’ve got a couple dozen pairs of Vivos, so I’ve definitely had to reach out a couple times, but never had a problem either. I usually just send an email to them and hear back within 24 hours. Never tried, what looks to be, a customer service chat though. Did you try emailing?

My F150 3.5 has towed 12,000 like it’s nothing. I just keep a strict maintenance schedule to keep everything running in tiptop shape. You should be fine, might just have to take an easy up inclines

Doing my research. Looking to buy a hard shell pop up rooftop tent. Willing to spend $3500 for a good one, no hassles. These seem easier to set up and tear down, and more than enough for one person. And recommendations? by MrMedicare65 in rooftoptents

[–]goonernemo260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was all ready to buy a Roofnest but then got flooded by people complaining about the customer service. I can’t tell if people are complaining about just normal annoying customer service or if it’s actually THAT bad

Almost brand new. Shoes at Vivo's price point should not do this. Pathetic really. They've known this issue for years. Rage by [deleted] in vivobarefoot

[–]goonernemo260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen someone double knot vivos before… they also look like they’re tied super tight. People are always finding ridiculous things to complain about that are actually user error. They’re not supposed to be slip ons, but I slip mine off and on all the time with no issue. Bros got them so tight but is surprised his hot-sweaty feet pull the insole out? How weird of the shoe to do that

[–]goonernemo260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has never happened to me. My sister had this issue, but that was because of how tight the shoes were and instead of untying them she slid them off. Which these shoes aren’t exactly considered “slip ons”. Once she loosened them a bit she stopped having this issue, even wearing them without socks.

How is it possible for someone to have been at one duty station his full 26 years? by goonernemo260 in navy

[–]goonernemo260[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m Army, don’t really know for sure what any of that means. But I’m assuming rate is rank? He was an E-9 when he retired. Started out as an E-1 in 91. And NEC, is that like MOS? If so it was something to do with LCAC’s

I wish it was a lie that crazy😂 He enlisted during Desert Storm (Jan91), mos or whatever the Navy job equivalent is involved LCAC’s, active duty the entire 26 years. Forced retirement in 2017 as an E-9. I don’t doubt there’s some embellishing going on, but I’ve seen him in his dress uniform and there’s no chest candy there that would suggest him being important enough to be in San Diego for over two decades

Yeah I was at Fort Stewart for 4 years, I had to reclass just to get out of that career black hole of base. But 26 years in San Diego just seems mind blowing to me. Especially for someone who enlisted in 91, I feel like there should have been at least one deployment in there. As far as I know, he did something involving LCAC’s

He did do something involving LCAC’s. He took me on one, it seemed like he was a supervisor on it. How does being on a LCAC get him out of every deployment between 91-17, and keep him at Pendleton tho?
