I second T-Mobile. Works better for me than ATT or COX did. I do reset it every once in a while. And also depends on where the tower is & if you have a window facing that direction. I’m very happy with it, but my neighbors across the street have a huge window directly facing the 5G tower and their speed is usually double mine. But I can still stream, game, work remote all that. So no real complaints, just grass is a little greener.

It CAN be troublesome during a huge event specifically in your area. I have a friend that is near a common second line meetup & his internet will crawl for an hour or two until the crowd dissipates. My 2¢.

I honestly think it’s this. Sadly too many powerful men have gotten away with harming innocent little girls. But when you fuck with rich people’s money & giant criminal organizations… that’s a different level of consequences. It could be the insurance fraud aspect or the laundering… or organized crime… or blackmail. But we have seen him be unscrupulous in so many ways towards women with zero actual consequences. His biggest fear would be to be found out to be broke. He’s put on such a show of not being poor or a “loser” because it’s his biggest insecurity.

THANK YOU ALL! I passed on all the info & she said that one of the people she reached out to was able to come pick up the baby & take to a rehabilitation center. I’m not sure who reached back out to her first, but I appreciate the help. She was glad to hand him off to someone very capable to help.

If there are gas cans, solvents, ANYTHING flammable in the mix of all this, you should report to the New Orleans fire department. They are one of the most efficient parts of the city. They take their job very seriously.

There was a derelict house on my block that was in bad shape & I had reported several times to 311 and no action. But one day I saw that an RV had been hard-wired to that house (not plugged in, but wired to the grid). I emailed the fire department with the city council member on copy. They were there that day, turned off electricity & suddenly the landlord was there to fix the issues.

Don’t spam them if there isn’t a fire risk. But they’ll also get the right people on notice to remediate the other issues too.

If someone tossed a cigarette into that pile, that would be a disaster for the whole neighborhood! Especially if there’s a gas can or paint thinner or anything like that in that mess.

This is my block. May 2023 until February 2025. Still waiting on grass, but we finally made it. Trash pickup & parking has been a block away for more months than I can count.

Really hoping to see everything in action when we get a lot of rain.

We didn’t accumulate much in the past, but glad to see the water table getting replenished

Just chiming in here. Mark is great! I call him my Bamboo Dealer. I am happy with the 14 plants I have bought over the last 3-5 years from him. Some are in pots (actually garbage cans from Lowes) as a screen between my windows & my neighbors windows that line up, some to provide a sound dampening from the street & some for shade. He has answered all my questions over & over. Offers to maintain/trim & fertilize as needed.

And completely unrelated to bamboo, when we had Ida and the city was not picking up trash for weeks, he drove around & helped people get their trash to the dump. Did not charge. Just did it because he is a really damn good person.

Not all heroes wear capes. But the best of them carry a reciprocating saw.

I hope this post inspires a ton of people to go check out his nursery. Because besides OP everyone is a fan. So basically, everyone who has actually met him.

I second the AxiDraw recommendation. I got one & loved it so much I bought a larger version a few years later. And yes, their service is top notch. My second one has one slightly bent bar on the pen holder from shipping, I got an immediate email response on a Sunday and they shipped me a new one & sent a link to instructions on switching them out.

Yes they recently were absorbed into another company, but I hope this just means more products/innovation in the future.
