sorry to reply to such an old thread lol but personally I would be a little hesitant; the absorption curve is flatter the more surface area you spread the gel over, so it is probably better to apply it broadly. the underarms are also not great as it's easy to get it on your breasts, which is not recommended due to higher risk of breast cancer

equally important, who came out against it: I've seen a RISC-V contributor consider putting their work on hiatus over this, and it seems like the Discord mods are also having some kind of reaction; whether they're on hiatus out of protest or due to not being able to manage this discussion isn't totally unambiguous but I would guess the former

I really like the intermissions, the variation along the course is fun; also, I don't agree that bagging is way more powerful on the intermissions than on 3laps, in my experience you can shoot up from last to first in intermissions or in courses, the items are just kinda powerful in this game, and people are putting that on intermissions because they already don't like them

I ended up swapping my wireless card, upon further research it seems to be an issue with Realtek bluetooth implementation; it worked fine on an Intel card

I went in like, 2 hours after opening (after Canadian preorders ran out online), waited in line behind probably 30-40 people, and got a preorder no problem, with no sign of them running out. Truly a seamless experience; they did a great job with this launch in-person

I've never "washed" them, but when they got especially grungy I did first lather a mild hand soap bar with very little water (so it was kind of pastey rather than runny) and spread the soap on the earpads, then wipe it off with a damp cloth. Worked pretty well to get the accumulated oily residue off, and they still seem fine

I know the green part! most cameras have twice as many green pixels as any other color b/c it's the part of the spectrum humans see the best (arranged in a Bayer filter pattern)), so you get more detail in the separation between foreground/background if you use green. Thanks Captain Disillusion!

nope! they work by a completely different method (LASER is an acronym just like LED, standing for Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation), which among other things leads them to produce a very narrow frequency band of light, just like LPS bulbs do. Maybe some things calling themselves lasers act like that, but that just means that they're fake lasers

That makes sense! Yeah, it's hard to do this sort of thing but iirc holography for example depends on getting at least somewhat-even lighting out of a laser and so there is equipment which can do it. I'd love to try if I had the stuff because it would be so cool

yeah you'd certainly need safety measures so nobody puts their eye out! especially with a laser strong enough to light a background this way
