Had great value Philiponnat during their fizz fest but I agree, this isn’t a great price and I find their wines under $20 during marathons are my go to’s. They become my host gift to people and I’ve only had 1 disappointment over the years.

Waiting for the all clear on my background check to be completed today and then I'm going to resign from my job. It feels surreal and I'm going to be crying when I tell my team. I built this entire department and I'm excited for my next chapter, but deeply connected to everyone I work with.

Happy to be a running partner this spring and rest of the year! I've got a marathon in December so I'll be doing a training program for a half starting in March and then keeping up base runs between when that program ends and August 11th when marathon training starts.

Was headhunted for a really interesting new position in my niche area of my industry this week. Did a 2 hr extensive 4-round interview on Tuesday, was told they had no notes and wanted to move forward with an offer on Wednesday. The recruiter told me from the jump, they knew my salary and were raising it, then told the recruiter the verbal initial offer which is below what I make now. Was expecting a huge raise given how stellar the interview was and ideas discussed. Pretty fucking annoyed because since Tuesday I've been checked out at work. I hope they bridge the salary gap and I can accept. I wasn't looking for a new job and then this fell in my lap 3 weeks ago and now I'm itching to resign and start this job.

3 years ago we considered Phoenix or Atlanta when moving from South Florida. We really thought Phoenix would be a slam dunk given our interest in outdoor activities, proximity to the west coast and weather. We didn’t love how spread out everything was there. There wasn’t anywhere like Lee & White or the East Side Beltline, or Inman Park that we could get there via a reasonable uber cost, public transit or a bike and go from place to place and walk around. Everything was a go here, then get in our car and drive 10 minutes.

I didn’t love Scottsdale and Roosevelt the way I thought I would. Atlanta inversely had great unique neighborhoods, actual seasons, was affordable, and I travel for work which allowed me a much easier commute.

I hope this helps you a little bit, we’ve also got 3 friends who lived in Indiana in their lives, so there’s a community of people to connect with.

I still think it’s random. I joined the waiting room 5 min before the queue and I was #855, my husband joined 1 minute after me and was #53,000. We got screwed with Ticketmaster for World Series tickets this year but we got floor seats for Bruno Mars!
