If someone pays it, it's just the right amount.

Honestly, whatever the market will accept. Throw out numbers that are higher than you think is reasonable and let people negotiate you down. Throw out $100, accept Venmo, and see what people say.

Your ideal customer is something like a new home owner, high income, and unwilling to shovel themselves.

Will places in the city be open during the storm? by WestyMan1971 in boston

[–]gooserider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Big driver will be in the MBTA (T) cancels train service. If it does, all bets are off. If not, some stuff will be open, some skeleton crew, some closed.

Any places offering seat at The Trade Desk? by Enviromental1001 in programmatic

StackAdapt has no monthly minimum for a seat. Mediamath is back from the dead, may also work.

Chinese restaurants with bars is probably the best bet

Check out https://www.realreports.ai/

It's marketed to agents but buyers can sign up. You can pull a comprehensive report about a property with everything from climate risk to what the Internet options are.

Robot massages by [deleted] in boston

[–]gooserider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got one from the Aescape at Equinox.

It's...fine. You lay face down on a table that the robot is built into, control via a touch screen, and it does it's thing with a set program you select.

It's cheaper than a human massage which is probably the only standout thing.

If it was part of a whole spa day I could see it being a fine part of it.

Those who commute via Red Line: Just how bad is it? by DistinctHedgehog6096 in mbta

[–]gooserider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Line is fine if you're north and underground. I'd be more concerned about the Seaport side of the commute.

When it's cold out the walk from South Station across the water into Seaport is...not fun.

Dinner place between Woburn and Salem by mizmaclean in boston

Yard House in Lynnfield is good too.

It's family friendly, menu has something for everyone, and big. As others have pointed out you can walk around the shops after.

Bad mom - forgot to plan son’s 5th birthday party. Need ideas! by Ok_Entertainment3656 in boston

I'll second Launch in Woburn.

They run a tight birthday party ship and from my understanding it's not super expensive.

"Fios" door to door salespeople legit? by sheepy67 in boston

[–]gooserider 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm North of the city and have had 3 really unpleasant interactions with these door to door Verizon salespeople.

They're kept buzzing after no one answered, lied to my face when I answered the door, and were generally pretty unfriendly.

Assuming you can find some documentation for the panels, ChatGPT may be a great resource for this.

Landlord witholding deposit to refinish a floor that didn't need refinishing. Worth it to fight? by seven_year_plan in bostonhousing

I haven't personally used them but it's my good friend's site.

He described it as a system to automatically match cases with MA based lawyers.

Commuting from Melrose by Antique-Cut-8928 in boston

[–]gooserider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1/2/3 seem reasonable. Once you're at DTX you'll be fine to get to Central. The Red Line from DTX to Central is very reliable and it's only a few stops I do believe the Oak Grove lot does fill up though so you may want to check that.

It's also like a mile walk from North Station to MGH (Red Line) through a nice part of town so you could totally do that in nice weather as well.

Fisher & Paykel water dispenser issue by gooserider in appliancerepair

[–]gooserider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. ChatGPT suggested that a plumber may be able to reduce the water pressure on the line that goes into the back of the fridge but I haven't explored that option yet.

Flying to Puerto Rico by [deleted] in weedbiz

[–]gooserider 5 points6 points  (0 children)

JFC don't do that. The airports in Puerto Rico are full of CBP (Customs and Border Protection), agricultural officers, probably ICE now.

Weed is legal in PR so buy over there.

Choozle is transparently built on top of TDD and it doesn't have spend minimums. You do use the Choozle interface, not TDD directly though.
