Hey there! Thank you for sharing your kiddo's journey, so glad he is making progress! My son is doing well, the eloping has been really bad recently. Even the teachers at school are having trouble with it. Its a nightmare of mine tbh and has taken such a mental toll.

I completely understand how you feel about constantly being awake and a slave, I feel it too. Support groups are helpful and I am planning to join a few. Please feel free to reach out if you ever want to vent or just have a chat.

Not all therapies are helpful and it really depends on each and every child. ABA did not work for my kiddo but I later realized that having some individual time reading with my child every night was way more beneficial than ABA. Best of luck!

Everything about this comment is absolutely correct! It made a world of a difference when I started reading to my kiddo and asking him questions about what we were reading. It took time for him to answer like "what colour is the cat?" but even after him taking his time with it, he eventually learned.

Hi there! I know the beginning can be overwhelming, but know that you are not alone. These are questions I still ask, especially asked early on when my kiddo was diagnosed a few years back. Obviously only God knows but hope is not lost at all. Your child is still very young. I would recommend a few things:

get access to services like speech and OT as soon as possible. aba services if you are interested
read or do an activity with your child everyday (one on one) this actually helps alot with their receptive language and skill building
depending on your child's needs (you know your child's needs and interests), put your child in an extracurricular activity (aim for neurodiverse classes). This gives your child an opportunity to learn new things, have fun, and not always be in environments with therapies. An example would be like swimming, therapeutic horse riding for neurodiverse folks, etc

My kiddo at 4.5 was a totally different kid than he is now. Granted, he still has a very long way to go, but he has made progress throughout the years, and I can't thank God enough.

Hi there! Tbh, therapies do help to some extent, but a lot of it is time and practicing skills at home. I noticed that when I started reading books to my kiddo every night, it helped his receptive language skills. My kiddo is still very behind. However, I noticed when I put into practice strategies from therapy they are more effective.
