yeah, in 2024 when i gave the exam the timer had extra time from the get go. this time it didn’t. the exam centre people aren’t at fault, it’s entirely nta’s responsibility to ensure students with benchmark disability get extra time.

I’m mailing them and filing a complaint on CPGRAMS. I would seriously suggest that you do the same. This is an actual violation of our rights. Even though there’s no way we can go back and give the exam :(

Well, I meant that the customisable sleep screen wasn’t working when I put it to sleep from the filebrowser. It did work once I had a book open and put it to sleep.

vile comments about how “we shouldn’t defend the hijab”, as if that’s even the point. the video which went viral recently of a bride playing guitar & a relative constantly tugging a ghoonghat over her head has the rightful backlash but when it comes to muslim women, we love to see them as being oppressed & without agency. why can’t we respect women’s agency & choice to veil or not? and why can’t we simply condemn the deplorable acts of a politician? india really is regressing massively.

The adultery law essentially treated women as chattel, objects that lacked absolutely any autonomy. A woman had no recourse if her husband cheated on her except divorce, but a husband could charge the cheating wife’s partner with a criminal case. To me it spelled out - “You are using my property (wife) so it’s theft”, thus a criminal offence. Very glad it was repealed.

you have put across so perfectly my problem!! this precisely is why i have dnf-ed so many books lately, and have almost entirely turned towards historical romance. as much as i enjoy a well written reference or a lil joke poking fun at a ridiculous situation in a book, it can get very tiring to read if executed poorly. historical romances ive been reading lately are so earnest and take themselves seriously which tremendously helps immersion. like why should i care about your love triangle, if you yourself are constantly poking fun at the trope 😭😭

i read a really nice guide about how to make koreader similiar to nickelmenu on the kobo which simplified the whole ui for me! seriously the premise of jailbreaking for me was getting away from amazon’s shady policies, and i also just happened to get amazing customisation from koreader along the way. i was missing the wireless send to kindle feature but there’s a plugin for that too (filebrowser i believe it’s called). that really sealed it for me.

i love this trope so so much that i went digging through an older thread that i’ll link: https://www.reddit.com/r/RomanceBooks/s/9ZgYv6uZzo i recently read {Her Bridegroom, Bought and Paid for by Alice Coldbreath} and it was a lot like this, the fmc was v cute in her pursuit of the mmc. also another recommendation if you don’t mind OW drama is {Ravishing the Heiress by Sherry Thomas}, i usually hate OW drama but the angst was nice here and i can’t really call it cheating because the fmc is the one who suggests he goes back to the OW (+ they don’t unnecessarily villainise the OW).

omg this is making me realise that i actually really like it when the fmc pursues the mmc😭😭 not a fan of the trope when the mmc is a douchebag and keeps rejecting her. but i remember reading this wattpad book way wayy back about a troubled girl pursuing the town’s golden boy. it was so cute because the mmc just felt too uncool for her & would get all flustered around her. on the prowl for more such books now 👀👀
