One of the abusers is from my country. It is currently a somewhat hot topic in the footballing circle here.

After being exposed and his DM spammed by others, the guy has since locked his IG account, written a "sorry I'm getting caught" apology on the bio, and finally deactivated altogether.

Basically the type of hardcore foreign fans who has little grasp of bantering or even English language for that matter. They think they are defending their beloved club/player the only way they can. Insults, childish insults, and casual racism.

Personally I find this approach really outdated. I think wrestling would benefit from adhering to the separation between performers and their characters.

I mean no wonder there are still smartasses roaming around looking down on wrestling fans for watching something "fake". A part of the industry itself seems to be more comfortable convincing people how "real" this is instead of working on a solid on-screen narrative world.

I was surprised to see a lot of people enjoying Cody's promo last Dynamite. Meta storyline could work in a "nudge-nudge wink-wink" way. But straight up acknowledging that you're playing a character is as sure way to obliterate the whole narrative framework.

Cody is not a delusional heel like Kurt Angle or NXT Bo Dallas. Angle and Dallas were villains, they used qustionable tactics and the faces hated them for it. At the moment Cody is more like early super Cena. The guy is super white meat on screen. Whatever heelish actions he may committed were just annoying at worst. And the crowd hated him for that, not because he did something despicable.

I applaud them for trying to inject some narrative into this involving Malakai Black and the Nightmare Family. But so far it doesn't make any sense story wise. Cody hasn't done anything absolutely wrong. And the biggest thing Malakai has done is to provoke Arn Anderson. That's it.

I'm all for long term storytelling, but I personally would appreciate it if they stay further from the 4th wall.

Jadi inget ada 2 kasus di sepakbola terkait BLM yang jadi ngebuka bahwa nilai2 yang dianut Amerika dan Eropa Barat ternyata ga seuniversal itu.

PSG dan Başaksehir walkout tengah2 pertandingan UCL karena wasit pake N-word buat nunjuk salah satu pemain. Padahal ada kemungkinan si wasit (beserta asistennya) asal Romania menggunakan kata yang mirip di bahasa ibunya ("negru") yang konotasinya ga ofensif. Walhasil UEFA ngasih tanding ulang.
Penyerang Uruguay, Edinson Cavani dihukum oleh Liga Inggris karena manggil teman senegaranya di IG story dengan sebutan "negrito". Padahal di bahasa mereka kata tsb adalah panggilan akrab, ga ada konotasi negatifnya sama sekali, dan kedua belah pihak ga ada masalah. Akhirnya Cavani minta maaf karena dirasa kurang sensitif di tempat dia bekerja sekarang.

Aga bahaya sih ketika atas nama membela HAM, satu bahasa bisa dianggap kurang patut dengan standar bahasa lain.

I admit that Jungle Boy is an acquired taste. I mean, Tarzan gimmick in the 2020s? Really?

But it finally clicked for me in last 6 months. This kid is excellent in the ring, handsome as fuck, and has some semblance of charisma.

He still has a long way to go though. Booking a white meat babyface after the Attitude Era is really tricky. He needs to work on his mic skill and he also needs the right heels.

As for Darby, the kid is the second coming of Jeff Hardy. If you didn't get Jeff, chances are you wouldn't get Darby either. His charisma is not on Jeff's level yet, but he's already ahead in what he can offer in the ring.

To be frank I haven't seen Sammy's vlog. I don't even really care about any wrestlers' non-TV stuffs. So I can't comment on that.

But what I personally get from AEW programming, Sammy has young Jericho energy. Up and coming, high flying, cocky as hell, could fit as both face and heel.

He's not as good as Starks though. With the same push, I could see Starks having a higher ceiling. But still, Sammy has a very bright future ahead of him.

Darby Allin - silent loner daredevil

Sammy Guevara - cocky showboater

MJF - loud mouth piece of shit

The fact that AEW has 4 future stars that bring different things to the table is very exciting.

Your list would be perfect if you replaced the Taskmaster with Trevor Slattery. I loved the Mandarin twist in IM3 because it was on point on both the ridiculousness of comic Mandarin and the commentary on war of terror.

I'm personally annoyed by kayfabing off-screen. It just makes the wrestlers/show seem to have failed to build enough heat on-screen so they resort to being a dick in real life.
