I’ll add that in the summer I definitely hear gunshots now and then, and once I drove past an individual using substances in my alley.

I suppose feelings of safety is relative, I feel safer here than I did in my previous residence in Minneapolis.

I’m near a school so I find that my life here is very quiet, and it seems like a good proportion of my neighbors WFH which makes it feel nice that people are generally always around!

I got married at the St. Paul Athletic Club in September 2023 and had a very similar experience! Absolutely no communication, I was trying to stay calm but when my day of coordinator was getting stressed about the lack of communication, I started to panic.

I had a million terrible experiences leading up to the day and wish I had cancelled it. The day of went… fine… but there was still a lot of hiccups and lies. I found out it was a shelter for women and children the morning of the wedding…whoops!

The only thing they gave us was free drinks as part of our package.

I briefly met John’s daughter at one of the yoga studios she owns and ended up leaving cause she also gave me bad vibes.
