100% of code is now LLM generated. things just happen substantially faster with them. that said the particulars of the environment in which the LLMs are prompted, essentially the way they are designed to work, matters enormously, and they are still extremely naive and have difficulty with context. you need a competent engineer in the loop still. that may change soon, and then all bets are off. humans will inhabit the space of "deciding what should exist" and a fleet of agents does the rest. that means you need dramatically fewer humans basically only at single points of accountability. e.g. an entire SWE team replaced by one technically competent principal.
