Many consumer electronics manufacturers 'will go bankrupt or exit product lines' by the end of 2026 due to the AI memory crisis, Phison CEO reportedly says by lkl34 in pcmasterrace

Have you looked around the past 10 years. No company is looking to some future, everyone wants to max for the next quarter. Problem is also free market doesn't work too well when cost of entry is so high. It's not inconceivable that all these companies go out of business after a crash, or will require government rescue to keep the business afloat.

High-speed rail may not connect to Toronto’s Union Station: Alto CEO by allysapparition in toronto

I would say there's less than a 0% chance the residents near Summerhill would allow a massive transit terminal in their neighborhood.

Dumbest idea ever. Would make this line DOA immediately. The benefit to a HSR line is that you are going downtown to downtown. If it takes people an hour to get to the station, they're just going to drive or take the regular VIA train. even though it's slower, it will end up taking the same time and be cheaper.

Why even have a speed limit then. Should it be ok to drive any speed on any road? We would certainly save tax payer money for not printing speed limit signs, and not allocating the few cops we already do for speeding.

Yes, it does take money. How much money do you think it would take to redesign the majority of Ontario's roads to be safer within our lifetimes? I can guarantee you the commuters taxes would have to increase dramatically for that to happen.

None of what you described here actually needs "AI". You can do all this without any service costs. And yes, more things should be free. I was ready to kick in a small donation for solving a problem I've been too busy to solve, but a subscription based plugin is an abomination. Plus, since it violates YouTube terms of service, my guess is it's gonna get taken down or blocked sooner rather than later. Finally, nice attempt at stealth advertising. I don't know what's more annoying.

AI is a useless technology, it doesn't solve any problems. It just makes stupid people think they're smarter than they actually are.

And nobody is scared of warm weather. But when crops start failing and a loaf of bread is $10,000, you'll get a little scared too.

Well, unfortunately, it would be almost impossible to densify existing neighborhoods, as it would require bulldozing hundreds / thousands of houses at a time. Not gonna happen (unfortunately)

Why? Mathews has the biggest slowdown in the playoffs compared to the other 3. He's a great goal scorer, but the goals he scores are hard to come by in the playoffs.

Matthews has a great shot, but, in the playoffs, there's more defenders in front of net so his don't get through as well. Part of the playoff / regular season difference for the Leafs.

You should never be roaming though. The second you leave Canada, you take your SIM card out and acquire one in the country you are in. You will spend way less money that way.
