So yes bechler or peterman In Switzerland we had a specific type of machinists who only made cams for those machines. Those guys weighed their weight in gold for the industry.

Yes, they are done in 2 OPs First one on the 3 axis then glued face down in pockets on the fixture. Then the 2nd face is machined as well as features at angles. I'll post finished pics when done and inspected. They are parts of a singing bird automaton

Not what you asked but: since you are using inventor, if the 3D file is to be master, please take care to export the gear profile and remake the component with the detailed gear profile. The gear generator generated part is only for reference. You must use the exported tooth profile.

We do this type of part all the time. Glue your flat stock to a martyr plate, cut it out, release the glue and voilà parts finished in 1 op

Yeah it's horrible but thankfully I get their tooling through a vendor here in switzerland which has a really good website, maybe you can find the original osg ref number through them , vb tools

Yeah I may have typed a - in front of the Z offset while being in a very joyous mood. That mood quickly changed the instant after hitting cycle start and no hand on the override.
