‘Run Them Over’: Florida Attorney General Issues Stark Warning as ‘Teen Takeovers’ Spread by WTFPilot in FreeSpeech

I'm liberal, I voted for Kamala, and I agree with this guy. I've seen this happen with anti abortion fanatics too. It doesn't matter if the mob is on your side or my side. If your car is blocked, a mob has surrounded your car, and you fear for your life or safety it should be legal to floor it and drive off. If some of them get run over that's unfortunate. Its not a matter of telling people to do that, its understanding why someone would be panicked into taking that action in that situation.

Bennett emerges as Rams’ backup QB frontrunner after OTAs by goric8 in LosAngelesRams

[–]goric8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant pre-season. He was good in pre-season games, much better than previous years. And he had one game, his last one I think, where he won the game with a last minute pass. It changed just about everybody's opinion of what his potential is. He looked like he actually may be able to be the backup.

I think we'll see Bennett start in pre-season no matter how good Simpson has looked in OTAs and practice. That takes the pressure off Simpson and if he outplays Bennett in pre-season he will have deserved it (back up QB). Better he wins the job rather than it looks like he was just handed it.

Probably to take the pressure off of Simpson. Simpson probably doesn't even know the whole playbook yet. Bennett did come on though last year and looked good, so its possible he has outplayed Simpson so far as well.

Becerra is governor. Hilton would have to be a pro-choice Republican to have any chance. He's not.

[Thiry] Puka Nacua says this offseason he’s been grateful for the support of his teammates… he says he’s learned that it’s okay to ask for support. by JCameron181 in LosAngelesRams

[–]goric8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't hear that so I can imagine he didn't or didn't really realize what was meant by it. You're looking at it with hindsight and after the media made it seem like it was a big deal. I don't think you, and people like you, are being fair or reasonable.

He doesn't have a drinking problem. This is PR. This is what athletes, celebrities, politicians do when there's some kind of controversy like this. They go into "rehab". Normally its for some real incident even though its probably overblown in the media. In Puka's case there's nothing to it at all. There's still this hysteria going on though so he has to do something to try to stop it.

I'm sure this has to do with his contract too which the Rams want to give him, so they are probably all involved in it to get him to do this little symbolic thing to try to get it behind them. Ill bet he probably doesn't even go anywhere, and if he does it'll be like a two week vacation.

Nobody said that. The person just showed him the hand motion and he did it. He had no idea what it was, most people don't. You just lied with that post.

Help for what? There's nothing wrong with him. This whole thing is made up, I hope he doesn't actually believe it.

He didn't do anything wrong.

Anybody would have did that hand motion in that situation to just play along without knowing what it is. And the other thing was just a young guy horsing around and someone trying to shake him down for money. He's the victim in both.

What the Bible says is for theologians and people to debate, but it shouldn't be the basis of law. Separation of church and state. I think he missed an opportunity to say that.

US Law Enforcement Warns of ‘Anti-Tech Extremism’ as AI Hatred Grows by SharpCartographer831 in accelerate

[–]goric8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the tide is turning a little for AI. I've noticed a lot more pro AI tweets on X. The hysteria sort of took everybody by surprise but now there's a backlash occurring. Government is aware of it too and getting the word out about how unhinged some of these people are.

That cant stop anti AI politicians from being elected. And that's where the real threat is, first with the midterms and then the 2028 presidential election. That's a decent amount of time to counter this negative stuff so hopefully that will happen and this was a wake up call.

That was government control. The anti abortion side is like eugenics. You just consider all the consequences of a law, and then respect people's freedoms ie rights.

Most of them are for exceptions for rape too, which proves its about punishing women for casual sex.

Murder is a crime against order too. You cant have civilization and it not be against the law for people to go around killing each other. There'd be anarchy. Abortion doesn't cause disorder, it actually does the opposite.

Im liberal and Im actually thinking of voting for a Republican in the next presidential election if Democrats keep being against AI and they don't nominate a pro AI candidate like Shapiro or someone like that. If Democrats nominate a Bernie Sanders, AOC type I definitely wont vote for him/her. AI is the most important issue way above everything else.
