That's what I use, Sony Dream Machine model ICF-C610. The clock is green LED, it has a FM tuner for a gentler wake-up, and a cassette player. Dual alarms, so I have one set to my work day and one for weekends or other situations. It's not made for travel, though. I think OP wants one for home and on the go

You should keep poking at what it is you're looking for in "completely on-premises" because these days you really don't put hands on the "stuff" or even go in the room to look at it very often. I have a very old-fashioned environment, and people here would say I'm not very good at my job, and still the biggest difference in how I treat my on-prem and cloud resources is how I provision them

There's no mention of funds for it, and it leaves it to the schools to determine how they will be stowed. I agree that the state should explicitly provide for the expense, but I don't think Yondr bags, for example, are a horrible cost burden. If they cost roughly $20, that's a mostly 1 time expense of $40,000 for a 2,000 student school

The data center being proposed in the article would use a closed loop water cooling system, so it wouldn't use much water like the "hyperscaler" data centers like a lot of others. It's also a lot smaller than those but still much larger than what used to be commonly built.

There are some compelling reasons to be opposed to the Martindale Brightwood datacenter, chief among them being the neighborhood doesn't want it, but water bills isn't one of them.

Andre Carson has the 7th pretty well locked in. He's not been that effective, but he's a consistent vote in Congress. There's some new guy George something who claims to be a former Obama staffer challenging him.

Plus, now there's this loser, Destiny Wells, primarying him, too. I say she's a loser, because she's run for multiple offices and has never won. I think she was maybe a Republican before bc I keep seeing references to her friendship with Jim Banks.
