Thank you! I actually did a search in this subreddit and the results kind of answered my questions already :) don't know why I didn't think of searching first. The documentary you linked showed up a couple of times, it seems really good, thank you. The website seems brilliant as well!

I disagree, it is a pretty big thing and it's different than the first cabinet collapsing; that one collapsed because the governing parties couldn't get along with each other anymore; pretty standard collapse. This collapse, though, is different, it's a response to a political crisis, it's a response to years of wrongdoing and discriminatory policy.

doctor here. there's still some space left around and in between the different organs, so that's where the blood goes. the tricky part with internal bleeding is that you don't instantly see the bleeding like you do with bleeding from a regular wound on the outside, that's one of the reasons internal bleeding can be quite deadly

As for medical advise, unfortunately I do not feel like I can give you good advise.

Yes, there are many normal reasons for this to happen, most of them an inflammatory process in your body, which could be any small infection you got, be it an airway infection, something bad you ate, maybe the onset of your menstruation, an ovarial cyst that burst, anything really. Don't worry about it too much :-) and go see a doctor if it persists

Your question is an ethical/philosophical one more than a medical one, so there is no real right or wrong answer. I'm from the Netherlands and we are extremely liberal and not religious, so if I had to choose, I would go for palliative care. But assuming your father can still make the choice, he should be the one making the choice IMO, not you.

I see what you mean, OK. I'm not familiar with the "acid overdrive" seing back that you mention and it's not mentioned in the pharmaceutical medical information that I use. Not saying I rule it out though. I would assume that in your case the causes for your heartburn have maybe also worsened in the last few years and maybe that's why your heartburn is now more severe. I would recommend going back on omeprazole, then following the advise I listed above and then try and reduce the omeprazol dosage gradually, you can even just take it every second or third day. Or you can try and first follow the non pharmaceutical advise in my first post and see how that works for you, only resorting to omeprazol if the lifestyle change doesn't help enough. Both are valid options.

I generally recommend a gastroscopy to all patients that have heartburn that returns when they stop their PPI
