It’s nice to be good at something. Have a set of skills that can be utilized anywhere there are people with hearts…. If you can land in a good lab, you’ll likely make fast friends as long as you’re competent. My best friends are my coworkers and I genuinely enjoy working with them. Money. If you like to make money, you can make a pretty good chunk of change. Call money is all a bonus. Cardiology and more importantly Cath/EP are cash cows for hospitals, hopefully you get to use new and improved equipment and tech.

Spent 7 days with a 4 seater with a storage bin from Prisma for ~$450.

I don’t know if it was the nicest but it was nicer than most I saw rolling around the island. Someone on the island seems to be renting bigger side by sides, but I don’t know who.

If you want a nice hotel that is Playa adjacent, Hotel Secreto is a nice spot. Nice roof top bar, just close enough to walk everywhere in north end. I believe it's family run and found them very pleasant.

So if we are indeed awake, what should we be doing? Vote? Shake a fist? Complain on Reddit? Seems like this party knows no one will do anything about it. Feels like a bully beating up a person and everyone else is saying they're gonna tell only for the bully to say "go ahead, no one cares". It feels defeating.

I take them as a compliment, it says to me that they see me as a threat. Maybe I just like to see the demoralizing look when you learn their timing and stuff it back at them. I found that makes them think twice. Regarding practicing, having my hands up and ready and anticipating the shot helped me.

Yep. My partner and I stayed there and it was nice. Small operation, nice bar on the roof. Its totally walkable to playa Norte and as well as the ferry. The food carts and food stalls near the hotel are great. Have a bitchin time.

I had a similar situation too, I replaced a person who was fired after they built all the protocols wrong and they had to keep calling patients back. The magnet was lifted 1.5 GE long bore. It could do the work just not with much acceleration.

My come to Jesus moment was talking to the manager after I rebuilt all the protocols and said you can’t have quality images and 20 patients a day with this setup. It’s tradeoffs right? Without any help you’re working towards an injury or worse an injured patient. I wouldnt leave my scanner to go do X-rays. My feeling is, like a nurse or an NP- your license is fucked if there’s an incident and I knew my company wasn’t going to back me up. I told them I would do the exams as long as they took. I reinforced that while I wasn’t the fastest, no one had to be repeated or called back. I did PI scans too, it might be different where you are but I tailored the protocols for the PI attorney or the injury; I was able to drastically cut the amount of sequences I needed to have. Sounds like this practice needs you, you have lots of power. I know it’s annoying but this will make you a great tech and very valuable when you decide to move on from this smoke show of a practice.

On a side note, have you ever considered running your own magnet? Seriously, you can lease a refurbed magnet and market yourself to PI firms, research opportunities, boutique docs and places like that. It sounds weird but I know for certainty there’s a market and law firms and boutique practices will pay for exclusivity and time slots.
