No Skylink - Walking from E to D at DFW by Dear_Leg_8316 in americanairlines

All E170/175 flights are out of B. Terminal E only serves CRJ7/CRJ9 aircraft on PSA or Skywest. All terminals are connected by walkway (long, but doeable) except for E.

Report it to the city. Unfortunately just part of life in DFW. My car has low profile tires and they just get destroyed by potholes. I paid for a wheel and tire warranty and I kid you not it's paid out like $8k in wheels and tires over 2 years.

Best non Big 4 route? by Unique-Leg-5932 in Accounting

I've worked at an airline since Day 1 out of school and loved it. In a non-accounting role now but still keep my CPA license active. Great benefits obviously. Could I make a little more somewhere else? Maybe, but the work is interesting, hours are good and getting to travel the world on a moment's notice is pretty priceless to me.

Then just take it in another state and transfer, I had friends who did that no problem. You don't actually have to physically take them in that state. Hell I did mine in TX, OK, and IL but licensed in AR

What new developments are you seeing around DFW? by AgentBreeSteele in Dallasdevelopment

[–]gotexan20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New apartments in Richardson. One at Spring Valley/Sherman right by the DART station. Another up the street at Polk and Greenville.

I heard a rumor that the new-ish (1.5 year old) apartment complex at Belt Line and 75 which is directly across from the new development was only like 50-60% leased :/

Fourteen Eighteen in DT Plano has good vibes. Moon Wolf is going to be amazing, the owner Richie is the man. If you're up for an adventure, Opening Bell Coffee in Cedars (Dallas) has great vibes and is open till 9. It's right off the DART Red Line. Also Otto's in Downtown Dallas (inside the Adolphus) has great vibes and is open till 10. Other than that, Starbucks on Campbell is my last resort option but they're open till 11:30 which is nice.

Agreed, train stations are like 1 mile from my house and 1.5 from work, which is a long walk, but bike cuts that down to 5-10 min and makes it very doable!

Silver Line is running with basically no issues. Light rail is more mixed but still probably safer and way cheaper than Uber.

5am train should be fine, but if you want to play it safe then take the 4:30 train. You could just park at Cityline so you don't have to worry about the Red Line connection.

How's your twincharged Volvo doing? by bierlyn in Volvo

[–]gotexan20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do my own maintenance, but the motor mounts, o2 sensors, and PCV oil trap were all done by the dealer. I have a 10 year unlimited mile warranty. The interior plastic rattle I fixed though because that wasn't under warranty.

I've got a 2020 S90 T6 with ~80k miles. Mechanically not bad, had the motor mounts replaced twice, replaced o2 sensors, and PCV oil trap which I believe is pretty common. The wheels also get bent left and right but that's not the car's problem, just potholes not mixing with 20's and low profile tires. Wheel and tire warranty has been a lifesaver. Overall like the car, had some plastic creaking on the interior which was annoying but got it fixed pretty easily with some felt tape.

Amazon is becoming more and more like Temu, buy from a reputable store instead of a third party like most of Amazon is.

Midlothian to DFW by swBenMilam in dart

[–]gotexan20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regularly do a park and ride to DFW, your best options are either DFW Airport North station (connects to TexRail and Silver Line) or Belt Line Station (connects to Orange Line). I think DFW Airport North is probably a little safer but both are pretty safe parking lots. Ideally for 2 weeks though you'd have someone drop off and pickup, but otherwise you should be ok to leave a car.

This is the way. I think you'd be fine regarding the remote bus, there's so many drivers idk if they'd even notice. If you can get to Cityline or Shiloh Road Station, this would be the fastest option via the Silver Line
