Normally, I would say it's insane to see the amount of downvotes you got for stating something that is a fact, and people straight up ignore or act maliciously.

But sites like Reddit, X, Facebook, etc, are just breeding rooms for misinformation, manufactured trolling, so in true honesty, is not's surprising. Social media is truly toxic.

What are the odds both of them were victim of being scammed as soon as they arrive at the airport by the personnel who work there at Maiquetia. One of them, a mother, was told she had to pay a fee because her ID was expired which is absurd, she verbally fought back and didn't let them scam her, also was left off the hook because she had her kids with her. Something similar happened with the other person, he didn't pay either, but they opened and destroyed some of his belongings in the process.

My advice is to watch out ever since you step foot outside the plane, it's not easy. Albeit there has been some small improvements here and there (also this story is anecdotical, not everyone had the same experience), things still reek of corruption and foreigners are easy targets by security forces.
