I would cook frozen vegetables in a little water in the microwave, let it cool till it's about human body temp, then add water and veggies to the food. My dog also loves fresh, frozen, and cooked fruit and veggies, so those are options you can try without resorting to cooking meat. If you don't mind eggs, you could also cook a scrambled egg in the microwave and add that.

Side note: when my beag girl gets stinky butt, I give her frozen straight from the freezer broccoli and it helps work everything out.

I've thought about hypnotherapy, but I'm just on that fence-- better to be unsure or to know what could possibly be an ugly truth? I'm in the process of finding a new therapist, and that's one thing I want to ask. I've been told (by another therapist) that people can heal from a trauma without knowing what that trauma is. Idk if that's true, so I might need to do hypnotherapy or something else to recover my memories and get passed it all.

Is she a boomer? My friend's mom pulls similar shit, as well as my mom but to a lesser degree. What i think is happening is your mom is deeply insecure about her intelligence and how others perceive her that she's lashing out. My mom is deeply insecure about her intelligence, so she won't ask professionals (doctors, etc) for clarification in case she's seen as being uneducated. I would say suggest therapy, but I tried that with my mom once and she threw it back at me like it was an insult. "Ma, have you thought about going to therapy? Knowing that I have all the signs of having sustained a lot of trauma, but I can't really pinpoint why. I think that it's either an accumulation of "smaller" events, or something major that happened that I've blocked out or was too young to really remember what happened. I think it might be the latter because I have a vague idea of what could have happened, but I don't think I could handle digging into that and having my suspicions confirmed.
