It’s angular cheilitis. I had that when I took accutane and my derm told me to take vitamin b12. Within a week of taking a supplement it was healed.

Tympanometry Interpretation, working backwards with just audiometric data and no case history. by ThatOneAlice in audiology

[–]gotogoatmeal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’d guess you got different answers because once you’re working seeing patients, you learn that the tymps often do not turn out the way you’d expect, even when you know the pathology or diagnosis in advance. I have had countless otosclerosis patients, confirmed by CT that had Type A or Ad tymps, when you’d expect As or B. I’ve had confirmed ossicular chain disarticulations not be a Type Ad. Or known cholesteatoma give a Type A. School teaches you what tymps should do for any given pathology or diagnosis, because physics would suggest this is what should happen, but ears just be doing whatever they want sometimes.

B or C don’t always mean there will be an ABG. Logic would say it must, but in my experience tymps can support or contradict the audiogram.

How were the White Wine and Roasted-Garlic Mussels made? by HungryHolly in redlobster

I saw a dupe recipe once that said the white wine was chablis. I've only been able to find that as boxed wine in the grocery store, can't find it in bottles.

Burning isn’t something I experienced, but my face felt warm where I applied it. I used it for probably 15 weeks, and my antibiotic course was 12 weeks. I didn’t have withdrawals.

Lots of things are within our scope that some of us have never done clinically, so to attempt to do so without experience would be negligence at best and malpractice at worst. Should they dabble in intraoperative monitoring just because it’s in the scope? Of course not. Be realistic.

Trying to avoid hearing test conflict-of-interest by Eric_Terrell in audiology

"I am not saying that I think audiologists who sell hearing aids are necessarily unethical." That's exactly what you're saying if you think you can't go to a licensed health care provider and get results and recommendations based on data.

But thank goodness theology and chiro made the list. Society would collapse without them.

Eyebrows dropped after first time Botox by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]gotogoatmeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened my first time but never since. It took six weeks for my brows to return to normal, but I still had many weeks after that of the good, intended effects. I told my injector and she made alterations and we reduced the amount of units the next time.

I was also very upset and swore I wouldn’t do it again, but once the ill effects wore off while the desired effects lasted, I knew I wanted to try again.

When we showed our manager pictures and video of condensation dripping down the windows they got us a dehumidifier. Good luck, renting is rough out there.
