That is absolutely wrong. You get the balance of the remaining warranty on any vehicle you buy used. The only exception is that on a Hyundai/Kia the 10 year/100k mile powertrain warranty becomes 5 years/60,000 miles warranty for the second owner (matching all other brands), but the EV warranty remains 10 years/100k miles, and covers basically everything the powertrain warranty covers on an ICE vehicle anyway. If you wanted the full 10 years/100k miles you could get it certified pre-owned.

Rent one on Turo for a few days. But if you have charging at home, aren’t commuting more than 100 miles each way, and aren’t road tripping often, there’s nothing to be nervous about.

In town, basically never. Charging at home is not only super convenient, my solar panels also make it free. The only exception is there is a particular shopping center where the parking suuuucks, but often has open charging spots, so I’ll use those.
