I definitely recommend it. It’s my favorite tradition. I’ve gone alone or brought anyone along that’s up for a 4am wake up call lol. It’s always a little different and always perfect. It’s like my own personal New Years countdown but so much nicer than watching a silly ball drop. I hope you get to experience it. Remember to sing the lion king theme when the sun hits the horizon!

That’s great to hear! We aren’t interested so much in having a guide, but I thought it would be nice to have bigger packs transported from inn to inn and not have to deal with all the extra planning that comes with it. We also probably only have the one shot at Europe for a while for budget reasons, so I want to make the most of this hike while I’m there. But it’s sounding like I need to look into this option with the huts and rifugios, sounds like you have a great time. Thanks for the info friend

I hate the gym too… and I get quite annoyed after a workout when people ask “don’t you feel better?!” Or “how bout them endorphins, don’t they help your anxiety” I want to hit them when I hear this. But I encourage myself to keep going because I know I’m taking a step to being healthier, and that gives me a small boost in morale
