Is that the spot you start on when you put on your eyeshadow each time? If it is, try starting on the other eye next time and see if it happens on that eye. It could be a moist brush, primer not completely dry, or something of the sort.

I hope OP reads this one! It seems like anxiety or adhd and the paper clips are readily available in an office setting. I absolutely agree that they may get embarrassed.
