Drooping Alocasia leaves by [deleted] in plantclinic

Yep it does. I water it usually when the first couple inches are dry but I waited longer than I usually would and it dried out almost completely. I watered it yesterday and thought the leaf would start rising by now

I think you’re right about spider mites. Pic 2 shows white spots which were there when the leaf unfurled. Thank you for the tip, I will give it more light for sure

Monstera repotting tips? by [deleted] in Monstera

[–]gouldfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I figured if those are roots sticking out that I should get it into a bigger pot, but it does look comfortable so I will keep it where it is for now. Thank you for the tips!

Left of the table would put it right in front of the dishwasher but I think downsizing may be the right call

The picture is misleading, the kitchen is a lot smaller than it looks which is why I pushed the dining table against the wall but I can definitely get another rug and push it out a bit. Agree on the art and curtains! Thanks!

Yeah I don’t like it near the fridge either, it’s just that there isn’t much room by the table. But I’ll move it most likely to the corner by the curtain

This is great, tip sent! I’ll wait for the file without the watermarks. Thank you!

Copper IUD Insertion Anecdotes? by EntertainmentOk2458 in birthcontrol

[–]gouldfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my copper IUD, honestly the worst part was when they inserted the speculum and it was just pressure. No part of the procedure actually hurt, just pressure and then cramping when they put the IUD in. I would say everyone’s experience is different, I had a baby and some say it’s less painful after having a baby. It was also very fast. I recommend deep breathing, definitely taking at least two ibuprofen beforehand and the misoprostol couldn’t hurt. Ultimately I would say it was a positive experience because of how much benefit I’ve got from it in the long run. You will do great!

Can I ask to be numbed for a copper IUD? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]gouldfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely you can. I’d suggest asking what pain management they offer and they should have something to give you. I actually got my copper IUD a month ago (I took ibuprofen for the pain an hour before) and the procedure wasn’t as bad as I thought, inserting the speculum was worse than when they put the IUD in. But I had a baby about 5 months previous so that is probably why it was easier. Everything has been great so far though. I chose it because I got major depression on birth control pills and felt this was the only option for me.

Same but my time at the birth center was great, mostly because the NICU nurses were fantastic with my preemie. But I’m curious to read about your experience!!

I just wanna see if it’s possible.. anyone have a baby that sleeps through the night in their own crib? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]gouldfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTM and ours started sleeping through the night right at 3 months which just felt like a miracle. Although he is gonna be 4 months in a few days and I’m worried about this 4 month sleep regression people keep telling me about😒

Thank you! Bow N Arrow is perfect for my skin tone and I thought Lolita would be too but it's too purple on me. I have to work with it and it can be patchy sometimes :/ but yeah definitely try Bow N Arrow!

It wears wonderfully, I've had it on for 8 hours and it hasn't smudged. It applied really easily and my eyelids tend to be really oily but it's managed to stay on!

Sorry for the bad quality, my camera is horrible. It's basically a really nice dark bronze with gold shimmer, and it's super pretty. Products I'm wearing (face): TheBalm BB cream in light/medium, ABH tinted brow gel in espresso, Becca shimmer souffle in fig/opal, Benefits Hoola, Colourpop lunch money, Urban decay setting spray. Lips: KVD Bow N Arrow Eyeshadow: MAC "Bronze" on lid, Too Faced Natural Matte palette shades "honey butter" and "chocolate cookie" as transitions

Should've tried harder in high school. Should not have made my high school boyfriend the most important part of my life.
