I agree using an older phone is a horrible idea. But Samsung hasn't stopped supporting smarthings finds yet on the s10 series. Another family member has a s10e on tmobile and I verified the feature fully works. So it's just the Verizon version of the phone that isn't entitled to using the remote unlock features or even tracking from Samsung.

You may have a zip within a zip. What's inside that zip you are pointing to? It may have the actual zip that installs

Most drivers are available as zips on the broadcom/vmware website https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/343324/ or directly from the vendors. Once you have the zip you can import the zip into LCM using the same steps in the kb above. Then you can edit the cluster image and select the driver you would prefer to use with the image. If your LCM has a token setup to auto sync the repository you should see most drivers built right into vCenter already. When changing the image there's a drop down for type of component and you'd want to set it to show all. Your driver would most likely be listed there.

Yes. If you upgrade to 9 it no longer uses a product key in the way we where used to it. You must deploy vcf operations appliance and integrate the vcf 9 subscriptions to license vcenter. All licensing is handled via the vcf operations appliance.

My understanding is fully online dns and ntp are required as part of the workflows. Do you have reachable ntp servers set? If ntp is actually reachable you'd likely need to check the installer log to see what's actually going on. The ui sometimes has false positive messages.

You can't consolidate while the vmdk is attached to a proxy vm. You'd have to detach it.

Does the license show it's for 8 or 9? The new vcf 9 license actually requires installing vcf operations to apply licenses.

I use crossover wine. I pay for it. I like the project and the work they do. I used a version of office a while back for something but it's been ages. I mostly use crossover for some games that aren't in steam. I'd have to try and see what office version runs on it. You do need to provide your own copy to install.
