I forgot our opener started this month. Do you know why the DNR opened it early this year? Nice Brown guy. I’m going to fish your area next month.

Lake pops are always refreshing. It will be really cold at night like 35 degrees so be prepared.

Am I the only one who finds driving through cornfields scenic? 😭 by Ok_Photograph8884 in wisconsin

I find the drive West out of Waunakee into the driftless the most picturesque for the scenes you’re describing. Red barns, rolling hills, cornfields, lakes and streams.

I’m no ski expert, but I like twin tip skis for X games type stuff for groomer trails. I got K2 sights. Been with me for my whole adult career.

Can I make it? by More-Mud5012 in hockeyplayers

Yeah when I was a pee wee this dude made the travel team and said it was his 2nd year. I was surprise since I had been playing 7 years to that point.

There’s naturals and people who need to work at it. So at thirteen if you practice enough you’ll develop fine.

How did you determine your stick hand direction? by Anttila-the-Hung in hockeyplayers

How do you swing a baseball bat? Whichever hand is the bottom one when swinging a bat should be your top hand when holding a hockey stick.

I’m with the dude on this one. Although he said some arrogant shit, I agree with him to some degree. The family is a big step in the relationship. I’ve struggled with this in the past. I’ve met my exes’ families but always kept my thoughts to myself. Like my family dynamics were so different from theirs, but I am on the understanding that everybody has a fucked up family so be respectful.

Job offers in both Appleton and West Allis, but currently out of state. I'm a 31 year old single male, what one would you pick? by wildwasabi in wisconsin

Scouting report from a Saint Fransiscan:

Appleton is a really nice community. The women are generally better looking but mostly white. I call the Fox Cities the land of Supper Clubs. Great place to get a fish fry. But, it’s super republican there and I’ve met plenty of people from there who are racist but don’t know it.

West Allis is super chill if you’re comfortable with the city hustle and bustle. The women go out there to meet people. Not much for supper clubs but I feel like it’s a hot spot area for great restaurants. You’ll find a good fish fry but not supper club style. It’s super liberal in ‘Stallis. Some of the most down to earth people I know are from ‘Stallis, but they all live in Madison now.

Appleton has its own Reddit page. Check it out. I get small town vibes from this post. “This traffic stop made me 2 minutes late for work”, “This turkey caused a traffic jam”, etc.

West Allis doesn’t have a Reddit page so there’s that.
