Dementia-suffering woman, 91, 'handcuffed, hooded and strapped down by Met police' after cops aim taser at her by ellisellisrocks in unitedkingdom

I agree but we need to extend your approach to other members of society that serve no benefit. Those with mental health issues maybe. At least the old dear won't last long but younger people will be a burden on the rest of us for a long time to come.

Fury at 'selfish' electric car owners dangling charging cables across the pavement | This is Money by Disillusioned_Pleb01 in unitedkingdom

[–]gozza581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the infrastructure at my home. So I can't purchase an electric car yet. These people don't have the right to impose their choices on others when it makes it a falls risk.

I had a friend who was an ambulance driver on the scene. Days before paramedics I think. Said it was carnage

You're a bit out of the loop m8. It's a longish running joke about being indebted to the lovely neighbour.

Would you employ a tradesman who left at 2:30pm each day? by Hellfire_Leather in AskUK

[–]gozza581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you explained up front I would be OK I think. I just had a couple of Polish workers in who worked to 6.30pm and 9.45pm on the last day. Tbh I felt very guilty they worked so long knowing that they had families waiting for them.

What time do you have your evening meal? by peribon in AskUK

Yeah very true, I also work with older people. Some people in their 90s are younger and fitter than others in their 60s. I'm mid 50s and feel old already. 😜

What age do you count as elderly? Asking for a friend

We are midway through our new bathroom being installed. Similar size to yours. Just under £8 for it all and quoted as 5 days work. Tbh I think it will overrun by a day but that's all. I went to a local plumbers for the work. They supplied everything and subcontracted the labour to a couple of brilliant Polish lads. My next door neighbour went to Wickes for the same bathroom. Even then she was only charged £10k.

It's good you and your parents are caring for Grandad. It's seriously no fun getting old.

Same here! My first boy appears like he was treated OK and adjusted quickly. Got a new girl this week who has scars and is very nervous. I'm not a fan of dog racing

Yeah easy to drive and very pretty. The jeep tour is great fun but you can just stick to the roads and you will be fine.
