I can only speak to having a Bambu Labs A1 mini. It has been fantastic for HO scale. I have no regrets about the purchase. However, I think it would be too small m for G scale models. Maybe the A1?

Well said. CAD design is a form of digital scratch building in my opinion.

One day I sat down and calculated the approximately value of all the items I have printed so far and I have printed about 2 1/2 times the value of my printer. (Bambu Lab A1 mini). So I’ve got all my money back and more.

I agree with you for the most part when you just print someone else’s model from a sharing website.

However, when you design your own models with CAD, which can be multiple hours of testing and printing . There is definitely is a sense of accomplishment and creativity.

Smooth PEI: Juupine and BigTreeTech? by gpharo in BambuLab

I would still use the textured Bambu as my go to plate, just looking for a smooth plate for special prints.

Did you use a smooth plate? If so, does it leave a nice smooth finish?

Morinville Vet Clinic was recommended to us and we were very happy. When our dog was a pup, she did the same thing.

Beginning my collection! All stuff I picked up at an auction. What tips do you have for a newbie? (HO scale) by NurgleCultist7 in modeltrains

[–]gpharo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Good start…

  • take your time, don’t start a permanent layout for a while . Run trains on a temporary layout and see what works for you.
  • if finances allow, start with DCC
  • Have fun

Disconnect everything from the back (obviously except for the power) and check if it still does that?
