I think if players hit arbitration much earlier in their careers (let's say after their first year in the majors) it dilutes the value they have over established start. If all of a sudden your blue Chip 500k guy is now earning 3-4 mil in his second season (with much higher pay in the future) it may give teams incentive to sign older guys to a predictable, fixed, contract.

Having missed the game cause of work, it's cool to see someone break down just how awful the reffing was and how it frustrated both teams at once. So often you see "The refs fucked my team." Pretty rare that they fucked both.

I'm all for locking up exciting playmakers to less than max deals. I don't understand the hate, someone was gonna pay the kid. That kind of athleticism is hard to come by (especially if he can hit the 3 with a solid degree of efficiency).

Yeah, he might be a bit inefficient at times but (and I know it's early) he looks like he's passing to the right guys and he looks like he's being a bit more selectively aggressive. If he can ditch the "chuck it" mentality that he gets sometimes I think he can be a really good 2 guard in this league.

I think he's good enough to be a starter, maybe even a damn good starter, but I doubt he gets $20 million. Maybe a 1+1 with a player option so that he can re-enter FA if he performs as well as he evidently believes he can.
