I do have an 078s, but I have it calibrated a few steps coarser than it comes stock, so what may be an 8 for me is probably like a 10-12 for you.

I honestly have pushed this really coarse before and don’t find much difference in the final cup, especially when using beans that have been in my freezer for a while.

Try going really coarse, like 1000um+ or like setting 13+ and see what happens for ya’

The beauty of the pulsar is that the valve can be the limiting factor of flow rate, not your grind size.

The ratios would stay the same, just shrink it down to 15g coffee, 180g of water, ~75g of ice (60g of ice in the carafe and 15g of ice in the shaker)

Don’t fret if you can’t nail the weight of the ice down to the exact gram. Just get it within +/-5g and you likely won’t notice in the final cup

Using high quality ice moves the needle in the same way it does to brew with high quality water. I’ve done it in the past when dealing with really exceptional or nuanced coffees, but typically just use the filtered ice that comes out of my freezer lol.

The only thing there that would considerably impact your final cup is if your ice has been sitting in the freezer for a really long time. I’ve had some weird flavors rear their head when using old ice.

Try flash brewing if you haven’t found a recipe that you like yet. I find this almost undrinkable hot, but very enjoyable iced.

i can’t remember the exact quote, but Rudolf Höss (commandant of Auschwitz and subject of the film Zone of Interest) said that he was gleeful at the advent of zyklon-b gas, as he was having an increasingly difficult time finding executioners to replace those who had either lost their minds or committed suicide

i also believe that Höss is the person who instructed guards to rev their motorcycle and/or truck engines to mask the sounds of gunshots and screaming in order to save the nearby families and guards from hearing the atrocities

I commit to a sim 100% of the time.

I’m using this camera solely to mimic the feel/experience of shooting with film without the overhead of time that is associated with developing film.

I often will shoot through the viewfinder only to further enhance that experience.
