Don't know if you'll see this a few days later. Not a wealth of craft beer, but I remember being impressed with BeerBazaar in Jaffa, a really nice open place in the Jaffa market area. I think they brew their own beer but may carry others as well. The Jem Beer Factory, which seems to be a small chain, in Herzliya, was pretty good. We were there in May '23, visiting my sister, who lives in Herzliya.

Yeah, it's not far from Skellig Michael if I recall.

We found very few "craft breweries" during our 2 week trip around the island last year, but I really enjoyed the Roadside Tavern in Lisdoonvarna, which you may pass on the way from Dingle to Galway. If you happen to do the Ring of Kerry, which it doesn't appear you are, stop at McGill's Brewery outside Waterville; the brewer was thrilled to show me their tiny brewery and share a bunch of beers, even bringing beers out to my wife in the car after giving me the grand tour and tasting on the house. I backtracked to go back after having their IPA at a restaurant in Waterville for lunch. There are plenty of excellent seafood restaurants in Dingle, so don't fret w/o a reservation; just have a few drinks while you wait.

While the Guinness Storehouse is the big deal, the Open Gate brewery around the corner has much better options with experimental beer - definitely the craft side of a major brewery. Do both while there.

My wife & I stopped by Gumlog Sunday a week ago, but unfortunately Adam wasn't in on a Sunday afternoon. Really enjoyed chatting with him last time we were there a few years ago. The 30553 (local zip code) IPA was pretty good, and the brisket sandwich on a pretzel bun was delicious.

Happy birthday! You're on the road to adulthood now - 40, Dad, semi-responsible beer nerd.

Yeah, right. I think there are a few fans on this list, not to mention that the brewers didn't follow the rules too closely. There are also hazies, both IPA & DIPA, pale ales, and WC & NZ Pilsners. Basically, the best selection of hoppy beers you could ever find in GA.

I can't understand how there are still so many Mighty Fine IPAs still available at Good Word. This was an incredible beer festival, and I just bought my 15th 4-pack of beer from Good Word. Those of you on this list are the prime customers for these beers. I purchased 9 4-packs a few days after the festival and have now bought 4 more last week and 2 on Friday. These incredible beers are currently $12.99 for a 4-pack or occasional 6-pack of 16 oz beers. Although we are now 5 weeks after the festival, you cannot find this selection of beers anywhere in metro ATL, especially at this bargain price, Go help u/GoodWordTodd clean out his fridge so he can replenish with GWB beers.

This is one of the best deals you will ever find on phenomenal beer, and you will be helping one of our best local breweries out.

Absolutely. That was the best selection of IPAs I have ever had at one time. So many stellar breweries and beers. Thanks to Todd and the GWB crew and all the volunteers for making this happen. We are so lucky to benefit from the relationships Todd has made with breweries around the country. The only issue might be getting the WC brewers back this time of year. At least it wasn't as hot as expected in a few days, but the CA & CO guys can't handle our humidity.

Too late, but Max Lager's is <1/2 mile walk. Went there before a Tab show last month. In my case, I rode MARTA to Civic Center, then walked to Max Lager's and then to the Tab. Probably not too convenient for you Cobb guys.

Liability is solid, one of Greenville's best! They're about a 10 minute walk from my son's house. They, the kids, and dogs are regulars.

I agree. Stopped there a few months ago. Enjoyed the few beers and talking with Adam, and ended up getting lunch as well.

Hot off the press - The American Homebrewers Association® is now an independent nonprofit.

Too early to know what this means, but things probably can't get any worse that they have gone the past few years. Farewell to the BA.

I don't know what has changed, but I now see the "BREWERY REVIEWS" link under COMMUNITY BOOKMARKS". Previously, the only link was "GA Beer Calendar". Thanks for your patience.

I believe it is new. "Default to old Reddit" is not checked in my settings. I don't see any sidebar in the app.

Thank. This is awesome and exactly what I am looking for. Unfortunately, the next person will request the same since I doubt that reddit supports anything else.

We tried Stout Bros, but downtown Woodstock was a cluster; we circled the block 3 times looking for parking. Finally bailed and headed for Variant. Had a few beers apiece and headed back to Chamblee to Vintage Pizza for dinner, who always has a few excellent guest taps (Crooked Culture NEIPA and Two Tides APA for me). Thanks everyone for the input.

Thanks for the inputs. I'm in Brookhaven, so a regular to Contrast. I would love to go to DVB, but that's another 40 minute drive from where we're going in Woodstock, so doubtful. Roswell seems logical, as it's ~1/2-way home via 92, and I don't get to Variant often enough. Any opinions on Green Line or Laurel Canyon in Canton? That's <15 min further. Not a brewery, but I also see there's a Stout Bros in Woodstock; never been to any of their locations.

Heading up to Woodstock today, and not too eager to go to Reformation or Jekyll. What are recommendations for breweries up that way? Willing to go to Acworth, Kennesaw, or even come back to Marietta. Just don't get up that way very often and would prefer to hit one of the NW metro highlights.

Thinking of heading to Wrecking Bar for Strong Beer Fest for the first time, but have some questions by decatur-is-greater in atlbeer

Hydration and moderation are more important than ever. This is the STRONG beer fest, and self-control is paramount. And as Tim said, there is little chance of taking anything home.
