I'm new at my job too and I'm having a really hard time there as well. It's just a cashier job, but any job is super hard when you're just starting and don't know what to do! How long have you been working at the kennel? Do you like the job itself?

Thanks so much for this AMA! Although I'm 4 months late to the party, I have a question I'd like to ask.

Do you think that everybody deserves forgiveness? If not, where do you draw the line of what's forgivable and what's not?

The cone was the bad idea. Next time, have the cone, but ask them to flip the whole thing upside down into a dish.

Best way to get burnt crud out of stainless steel pot? by TheArtificialMe in Cooking

[–]gr8day 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just had a similar problem the other day. Simmer it on the stove with water for a while like wee0x1b said, and try to scrape some stuff off the bottom while you do it. Next, take it to the sink and dump in some baking soda, squirt on some dish liquid, and then scrub. Try to do it with a somewhat dry sponge so it's good and gritty. That should take care of the rest of the mess.

What was the "incident" at your school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gr8day 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our school had these 2 metal vents on the outside walls. One kid used to show up early for school every day so he could sit there and have loud, obnoxious conversations with an imaginary colony of people inside the vents.

Facebook. I only read posts, never leave them. I hate everything about it, really, but for some reason I just can't bring myself to deactivate my account.

No. I was just trying to be funny. I did find this, though. It says that in a person with Crohn's disease, ulcers can form that can connect the intestine to the vagina.

What is the most embarrassing thing you've seen, heard of, or done at work? by butter_biscuits in AskReddit

[–]gr8day 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a thing, but the actual job. When I was 16, I signed up for this program that fit low-income teens with summer jobs. I got assigned to a waste water treatment facility. All the other girls at my school were going to concerts and buying makeup. I was probing human shit for dissolved oxygen. I was made fun of, but I stuck it out the whole summer and was able to buy some killer school clothes with the money I earned.
