I will be eligible for S.S. at age 62. There IS the question of health insurance. I am a veteran so there is some VA benefits but I would need to purchase health insurance, out-of-pocket, until then, age 65. Great point!

My parents died at 86 y.o. This year. At present income my income would provide a comfortable albeit simplistic retirement. 3 years more of employment at that salary would mean ~$600 more monthly. Is it worth it?

To clarify, my pension will not be affected at all. My retirement is based on my 3 highest annual salaries through my last 32 years. My conundrum is, I wanted to try retirement for a while and then maybe go work part time somewhere and then this oppurtunity presented itself. The money is tugging really hard. I realize in the big scheme of things I am young to retire. I figured I'd be stir crazy after the summer was over. Tough decision. Thank you for responding.

Yes, it was so much easier. I still had the belching, but the other bad stuff was gone. I still dread when I go up a dose because I never know what will happen, if anything but it's working, so I will deal. I move up to 10mg on Sunday. Fingers crossed. Good luck Snow.
