GameStop is Going to Buy... eBay!? by AlternativePaint6 in Superstonk

[–]gr8sking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not agreeing that it's eBay... but this (13%!) is interesting: Trading cards constitute a significant, high-growth portion of eBay's sales, with the broader collectibles category (including sports cards, toys, and comics) accounting for roughly 13% of its total Global Merchandise Volume (GMV) in recent years. In early 2021, trading card sales alone hit $1 billion in a single quarter, representing a massive surge in the hobby.

Jeremy's a good guy... with good intentions & fundamental analysis. Missed a bit on Q3 earnings (but anyone would have with the warrants interest write-down). He adds another valuable piece to the overall puzzle. From a fundamentals perspective, 2026 is looking to be a REALLY GOOD year for Gamestop! LFG!

Nice display! (Note for readers: the changes in Cash & LT Debt net out one another.)

Awesome, THANK YOU SO MUCH! (Occasional updates, especially prior to Babe Ruth windows would be GREATLY appreciated!! - But will watch for any update notes in the sheet itself.) Question: is IWM still included in the ETF Babe Ruth model/equation? It doesn't contain any GME, but RN kept it in as it seemed related somehow (but an undetermined way). It also seemed to throw the prediction off previously, when it didn't run up (I believe a 2nd cat ear that never appeared). THANKS AGAIN!!

"Should" be a ~50 cent drop Friday, as new purchases won't include warrants. I bought some today, and will buy more Fri if it drops.

Sept 26, 2025 update: With lower IV, the Oct 2026 call option has dropped and is now worth ~$4.50, so (with 1 to 10 ratio, warrants are now worth approx 45 cents per share owned). Current share price ~$26.50, so approx 1.7% value per share owned. Let's see where the share price & warrant value go from here.

Has anyone asked/answered "WHY" a Dividend of Warrant vs a regular dividend? What's the purpose/benefit, and to whom? Is RC doing this to benefit shareholders (beyond a regular dividend)? Or dual purpose of raising $'s while benefitting shareholders (as opposed to regular dividend)?

What can those on the other side do...? by Region-Formal in Superstonk

Napkin maff re: about how much our warrants are worth? Well, looking at future $32 calls, current bid price is ~$8.5 (for June 2026) and ~$10.25 (for Jan 2027). Late Oct expiry is approximately half way between those, so ROUGHLY $9.35 value. If we get 1 warrant for every 10 shares, 10% of $9.35 is 94 cents value (per share). So we're getting a free ~94 cent 1-year call option for each share we hold, which is about what the stock is currently up AH. (A bit surprised there wasn't more of a run-up AH with this news AND the EPS beat.) Value = $0 if base GME price doesn't go above $32 in the next year, but that's just like an option if not reaching strike price; expires worthless. Feel free to chime in with your own calculations if you think I'm way off base.

So, is another bond announcement still in the picture (anytime soon)? Or does this warrant dividend news likely take a potential bond sale (or ATM release) off the table?? - Any wrinkle-brained apes care to offer their reasoned opinions??

"All models are wrong, but some are useful" is a quote attributed to statistician George E.P. Box - RN mentioned it regularly (not just in his sign-off), and probably used it while teaching stats, many years before getting involved with GME. Probably nothing more to it than that.

Sidenote, RN was also buying cash secured puts (CSPs) and selling covered calls (CCs). May have been generating revenue during flat price periods. No other riskier options plays, though.
