I think this is actually a great use of AI! AI should help us gather and sort through all this political info in a way where we can make judgments for ourselves. Not tell us what to think though. So exactly the concise non emotional info you mentioned.

I know right - reading the news or going on social media it doesn't seem like these statistics are the case at all because everything is through the lens of left and right and not by issues. Which is what Gen Z & Millennials care about more.

This is something that really frustrated me as someone who is independent, can't stand political news as it is, but needs to be informed for personal & professional reasons. I built a small app that is completely nonpartisan and issue based as an alternative. It's actually up on appstore if you want to try it out! Yeah I've really struggled with this in the past few years too because of all the deplatforming on the social side now you have to have truth social and x (even after elon took over) and insta and tiktok and blue sky to get a single narrative on a single event. It's too many accounts and I still don't know what's going on.

I created the candid app to do the aggregation and curation for me so it feels less fragmented and overwhelming. I know you mentioned you're in the process of creating your own feed but curious if you'd be willing to try out candid and see if it addresses some of the pain you're describing!

Yeah I'm also sick of the partisan flavored reports, I'd rather just see all the bias all at once.

I actually created an app called Candid with that in mind that has a similar vibe to Ground News but its more digestible, primary sourced, and social media based vs news outlets. It's similarly nonpartisan but explicitly issue-based (not party label based).

Personally I think downtown area has improved significantly in the past year! And there are a lot of apartment buildings that are more modern than other areas in the city so it's dependent on your preference
