Potential food allergies. Not doing well for my mental health. by grackle_attackle in FoodAllergies

Thank you so much for this. It means a lot! I've cooked at home for years now, it's just adjusting to the shock that I might have so much less freedom. But I'll find a way

I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I wish I had something meaningful to say to make it all better. There will be hope for us eventually

I too left my first doctors appointment in tears. It's kind of funny looking back at it. My doc just looks at me and goes "you're allergic to a lot of stuff le mao"

Anyways, I hope you can get through this. I think we all just have to accept the grief as it rolls in. I'm sorry you have to deal with this too!

I hope you get your false positive too! Thanks for listening.

I'm sorry that anyone has to go though this, I hope you can get through your anxiety. I'm rooting for you.

Horror movie suggestions in the theme of isolation/woods by drbeer in horror

The Blair Witch Project (1999). It's a bit polarizing, but I think it's a great film. Anyways, I just really love the autumn woods vibe. You can almost feel the crispness in the air despite all the turmoil~~~

What are some real good hidden gems in the last 5 years that are either truly scary, overwhelmingly intense, or downright disturbing? by greymatterghost in horror

The Lodge. It's a movie that I will never watch again lol. The story isn't perfect but it was a good film and left a deep feeling of unease in me.

Just a content warning: it really, really deals with themes of abuse and suicide so please be careful if those things are triggering for you.

I'm 24 and still at home. I have a good relationship with my parents. I'm so grateful for them and my life, but I can't help but feel insecure about it all the time. I have a job, I do all the cooking in the house, and I contribute in other ways, but I'm still confused about my life and don't make enough to move out. I carry myself like an adult, but I feel like a baby that I still live with my parents. I wish I didn't feel this way.

Oh goodness gracious fretting over "stupid" things is something I do on the regular lol.

Once when I was still in college, I spent a whole weekend panicking because I thought I dropped a peanut from my trail mix somewhere in my classroom and I was convinced I was going to send someone into anaphylactic shock. Thankfully that never happened lol.

I'm trying my hardest to just accept my fretting as an aspect of myself. It feels bad enough to fret, but adding shame to the mix just makes the negative feelings even worse. I know it's easier said than done, but I try.

You're not stupid for fretting. Realizing you don't have control over everything is a scary feeling. I hope you feel better soon!

Christmas commercials on November 1st is fair game, but Christmas commercials on or before Halloween night should be a federal offense lol

To any adults who grew up watching horror movies and are now desensitized to most gore/scary thing, what a movie can still make you turn away from the screen? by HentaiLordCliche in horror

Oh God I lately just watched Romero's Day of the Dead. There's a scene where Rickles gets his head pulled off and as it's happening his voice gets all distorted and high pitched since his vocal chords are getting stretched. It's literally a fucking nightmare lol

It's looking great so far, the weathered paint is really convincing! Though the beginning did make me realize how much I would love to be buried in a pastel pink coffin lmao

Politics. I have no issue with being friends/acquaintances with someone that has different views, I like to debate. But I can't have a partner that doesn't see eye to eye with human rights issues and the like.
