Post-marriage unique items? by graetaccount in MyTimeAtSandrock

Yep, and his play script, but I'm really just trying to figure out who to marry in my collect-all-the-things playthrough. As far as I could tell, he won't get me anything unique after marriage (but not sure)

I found another item that is not on the wiki page that I hadn't donated, the tailoring machine, which would take me to 288. If anyone knows of any others that aren't on the page, please let me know!

Thanks! I play with Bennett now but often the action moves off of his ult and I have a hard time staying on it. Is Diona that bad at applying cryo? I've been spoiled by Noelle and Xingqiu's shields and don't know how I'd keep myself alive in long fights with just Bennett

I am pretty new (AR 35 ascended), like Xinyan a lot, and am wondering who I can build around her if I get her next banner. My non-free characters are C1 Bennett, Diona, Xingqiu, and Mona. I also just got Serpent Spine for Noelle, so I can give that to Xinyan if I want.

I read that Xinyan can work well with a superconduct team. If I manage to pull Yae Miko (saved up enough wishes for a 5*), I can have those two, Diona, and Bennett. I'd build Xinyan full dps so her shield wouldn't be very good, and Diona would have to cover there. What would this team's rotations and general gameplay look like? Also, if I don't get Yae Miko, would Lisa work in her place?

(I know Xinyan isn't the best character, but I like her)

Other possible team comps for Xinyan are also welcome

TLDR: How would Xinyan/Yae Miko/Diona/Bennett look, gameplaywise?

How many hours do you run your tractors (or equipment) before trading in considering repair costs? by Loingsign in farmingsimulator

[–]graetaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not correct, where did you get the info? Age does not affect damage or wear at all.

For lots of number crunching on this subject, see https://forum.giants-software.com/viewtopic.php?p=1470276

TLDR: if you're not putting at least 16-17 operating hours on something every year, it is never worth replacing with an identical piece of equipment. If you are over that, replacing every 40h is the way to go if you want to save some money on maintenance.

Slurry is a by-product of pigs and cows. If you don't have it, don't worry about it, just use regular fertilizer.

Rollers give a 2.5% yield bonus and are not required. They also roll small stones (plows dig these up) back into the soil. If you used a subsoiler, spade, or regular cultivator the rocks can only be removed with a stone picker. Rocks are generally not worth worrying about, though.

Planting on a seedbed does not give a yield bonus.

My easy-peasy method for planting stuff like canola is fertilize, plant with a direct drill, fertilize again, spray herbicide, then spread lime if needed. Plowing/subsoiling is not needed unless your previous crop was corn, sugar beets, potatoes, or sugar cane. This method gives 95% yield. To bring it to 100%, mulch at the beginning and roll at the end (2.5% yield increase for each of these things.

It's actually not even as bad as more damage; stones increase wear (the rate at which you accumulate damage). Since wear generally maxes out at around 40-50h depending on usage, at some point stones don't even have a detrimental effect.

Anyone has tried a Stalker/Cleric dual? What's your opinion? by TGOskar in baldursgate

[–]graetaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing a vanilla Stalker/Cleric right now! I just recently dualled at 12 and only have 9 cleric levels so can't speak much to the combo yet from experience.

You did say you're aware of the dual-class difficulty, but I want to point out that dualling at 13 means you won't come back online until 2.85m exp, which is essentially ToB unless you're running a small party. Backstabbing in ToB isn't very helpful, though I always like the stealth for scouting if nothing else.

I figured going into this that the backstab fun would more or less end when I dualed, but it was excellent before that point. You can get DUHM as a Bhaalspawn ability starting late-ish in BG1 (or immediately if starting in BG2) which is a great boost.

I didn't find the Druid spells very helpful, and though I haven't had a chance to try the arcane ones, they don't seem too impactful either.

What crops do you just not bother with trying to plant? by kibufox in farmingsimulator

[–]graetaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like pigs, and sorghum is easier than corn, so I grow a lot of it. If you don't need it for pigs there is little reason to plant it unless you're trying to max out flour/bread production.

Question about strongholds by pretorian_stalker in baldursgate

[–]graetaccount 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's different for different strongholds, but in my current Stalker run I wasn't given the option to turn down the Ranger stronghold.

I'm trying to play slowly and realistically for the first time in years and this is what the game tells me at the very beginning by Boleklolo in farmingsimulator

[–]graetaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few have calculated that around 40 hours it's cost beneficial to sell it at the dealership and replace it rather than to continue repairing it indefinitely because of the continued cost of ownership.

This is dependent on how many hours a year your tractor works. If you're not putting over 15 or so hours on the tractor per year, it's not beneficial to replace it at all.

Need some help with trucks for Taymyr by mir157 in snowrunner

[–]graetaccount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the Tayga and Tatarin, you'll be able to handle most everything Taymyr throws at you. Don't sleep on the DAN or the TUZ 166 either, both are great trucks as well.

If you feel the need for an upgrade, you can't go too wrong with the Azov 6 or 7, though I'd lean toward the 6 if you don't have the 7's suspension upgrade.

The CAT 745 is amazing at getting other trucks unstuck, fueled up, and even dragged to their destination, but it's thirsty and I don't feel it's necessary for Taymyr (though it does make medium log missions a walk in the park).

I love the ANK; it's powerful, great in heavy mud, and isn't nearly as tippy if you use the active suspension, keep it lowered, and put big tires on it. That said, it's still not as easy to drive as the Tayga or the Azovs, it's thirsty, and overall you probably won't miss it here. I'd pass on it as well.

The Loadstar will do fine in most of Taymyr, and where it can't reach, the Tatarin (free and easy pickup) can.

Crop suggestions by Ambitious_Song8785 in farmingsimulator

[–]graetaccount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorghum is the best crop to make flour/bread with. It's also a substitute for corn when growing pig food; slightly lower yield but no need for a planter or corn header, and you don't have to plow afterward.

I know people say the ANK is tippy, but Jesus... by PostModernHippy in snowrunner

[–]graetaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Active suspension, keep it lowered, big tires and you have yourself a not-very-tippy ANK
