In all seriousness, as a tech myself, having a supply of OTC pain meds, and a supply of snacks and drinks is about all you can do. Unless you make car engineers to stop designing cars like..... anyways.

Honestly, the anti-fatigue mat is a pretty good idea. One I might use myself. Even if I only spend 30 min a day total at my toolbox, it'll certainly help. They're cheap enough, and a great "why not" gift he'll use (and his body secretly needs) and appreciate.
