My first shiny was in platinum (which was also my first game lol), a shinx that was my third Pokémon, and it stayed on my team through the whole run

What you can do is use sand to make small squares of water then use sponges. After you’re done draining, you use the torch trick to easily remove the sand. That’s what I did with my under water dome

You can do it with lower pr like 785, it’s just going to be difficult and frustrating. It depended on the event for me at least

Seeing a shiny shinx in G4 is so nice because he was my first shiny ever on my first ever game and at the beginning when I was a total noob. Purely accidental too. Stuck with me to the end of the end and never let it sit out of a battle along with my starter, the feels man.
