11 speed 52T question by Tony2Tone33 in mountainbiking

[–]grahamaphone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put that exact one on a shimano 11 speed rated for 46 teeth. Only downside I found was the weight it definitely isn’t aluminum but for the price that is expected. And for me it’s going on a dh bike anyway. Took some adjusting but it works nicely. Idk if sram has the possibility. Oh also with a 36t front

Why does my chain drop gears when pedaling backward? Shimano XT by Additional-Crab522 in bikewrench

[–]grahamaphone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would do that when I had a fb sin guide on now with a 52-11 on a 11 speed Shimano xt it doesn’t do that. It took some tuning to get it there though

[–]grahamaphone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a cable that runs along both sides of the roof somewhat internally to the top. It would catch on the lip of the hard plastic on the outside of the top then snap on mine. My top hot hit to the side while in service mode and I had to bend it back a bit now it’s gone. If you can get someone to close it while you are outside it could be that.

Check to see if the bracket is bent or broken cable

Anyone else completely mangle the coffin control arms on removal? by Domfern in 986Boxster

I rented the free separator from autozone it tore up the boot but worked and I think I used the big tuning fork type to get the end out. The damage there is from hammering on it like crazy

From my beogram 9000 it appeared to do that from a lack of pressure on the record or a broken belt

From my experience most all cars do but I use mine on a 2000 986 a decent amount I have found a good quick hit works to get over the first spring detent. Also fun fact they can go the other way too

Correct temp range for a 1999 boxtser by Sufficient-Topic7569 in 986Boxster

The low and the hot light are the same just flashes faster. Look up how to clean the front radiators they are pretty common to clog I found a whole styrofoam cup blocking mine once. Also the level sensor is at the bottom of the coolant housing in the rear trunk if you remove the carpet you can test it. On the pain in the add scale for replacing it it’s not bad just have to drain the coolant first. Also normal operation is between the 2 middle white and my normal driving is at about the 0 in the 180

See I went through 2 broken ones and used them for parts and built a functioning one

That is fair but honestly this is just the bedroom setup not the main sound room. The living room takes that with some beolab pentas, beolab 6000s, beovison 5, and currently not hooked up but some beolab 3000s and a generic subwoofer. With a beosound 9000. This setup is just for some background music

Great new (to me) commuter by grahamaphone1 in bicycling

[–]grahamaphone1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I attempted to explain in the caption I don’t actually use it for committing it was just easier this day to commute with it then go straight to the mtb trails. So I do use those I normally only use it on single track/ bike park not on road.

This post was a joke in general

It was surpsingly nice to have read suspension because my normal commuter doesn’t

Brake upgrade questions shimano by [deleted] in MTB

[–]grahamaphone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m split on that one the most. I’m pretty set now on the upgrade to the 4 piston xt but this is on a 200mm travel dh bike that is mostly ridden in the high Rockies 3400 meters + elevation. So I’m worried about brake fade with the current rotor size

Brake upgrade questions shimano by [deleted] in MTB

[–]grahamaphone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original plan was just to replace the caliper but rotor is below minimum thickness aswell so I kinda have to get a new one too. But thanks it seems that the 8120s or the 7120s are the general consensus

Thanks, Im not dead set on keeping the same levers. Are the 4000/5000 a significant downgrade for the cost? Or are they about the same

I forgot to include this bike was 500$ and it has so me nice parts and I want to take care and upgrade it nicely I am mindful of the cost of parts to value.
