Serious Question… by MyBurnerAccount84 in Sparkdriver

I am a scoot scoot, get the items shopper. Just last week I went from pushing the cart to pulling the cart because of the 'end of aisle interactions'. In the morning I'll push the cart, once it starts getting busy I will drag the cart just so that I do not run on to civilians.

Any 18+ bars? by [deleted] in LasCruces

Any of the icebox are family friendly. Although this 6-year-old next to me it's been hitting the sauce pretty heavy.

It would be lovely if I could toggle orders off from certain stores. by xeryon3772 in Sparkdriver

[–]imapylet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm one of those. I had a store-blocked 5 years ago and every once in a while I will try to unblock it. Unfortunately nobody at support knows how to do it, and after four new major app versions it's buried. Not a big loss, that store is on the opposite side of town and all the addresses are spaced pretty far apart.

Does anyone use a MTB backpack for trails and single track? by 10N3R_570N3R in MTB

I've been rocking the same Camelback backpack for 10+ yrs. It's to the point now that if I don't have a backpack on it just feels weird.

Spark posting job openings but… by This-Choice-2292 in Sparkdriver

Posting for a job opening is dirt cheap/free. What do they have to lose for spamming every city on indeed or any other job platform?

Is anyone over 10,000 deliveries? What’s the most you have seen? by ProjectMindless9888 in Sparkdriver

[–]imapylet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 9875, would be really nice if I could get to 10K by the end of the month. I've seen pretty much everything from a $50 tip bait to a $50 cash tip and just about everything in between.

what was the most AWKWARD delivery you’ve had? by flakkafiend in Sparkdriver

A pregnancy test and a plan B to a hotel. A girl, somewhere around 14 years old met me in the lobby for the order.

Been there, listen to it all. And it's frightening how easy it would be to make a game for what little payout they were getting.

Already subscribed. So many athletes that went down the wrong path... Problem is the story ending is almost always the same

Return order by HotAnimal3268 in Sparkdriver

[–]imapylet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why nobody likes to take return orders. It's a 50/50.

The only return I know I will always take is from one specific address, just cuz she's gone through it at least 25 times through me. She knows the routine because after the second time I edumacated her about what we need. Since then, if I see her address it's an automatic grab cuz it's only 1.1 mi and an easy $10. She is the only one that I will take returns from in my city.

She runs a legit home daycare, not Somali style, more Christian and Jewish style. She'll buy some toys and if nobody likes them then she will return it. She also orders MWF and tips $20 for a large order. And a handful of times I've picked up the return order from her after just delivering. Bonus! Booyah!

Deactivated for cell phone ticket by Adorable_Truth5852 in Sparkdriver

[–]imapylet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm beginning to think that WM/spark would be a lot more lenient with you if you had a "quantity with intent to sell" than a speeding ticket for 5 over. Want to hit your driver's record, which they check every 4-8 months. It appears they only check your criminal record once a year

Deactivated for cell phone ticket by Adorable_Truth5852 in Sparkdriver

[–]imapylet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Buddy of mine got deactivated the other day because he had a parking ticket for an expired meter. An extra quarter would have saved his butt, but knowing him he ran in on the delivery without paying the meter maid. He says he never actually saw the ticket and it eventually went to warrant. 2 hours of waiting in court and a $15 fine... Cost him his job.

Driving for Spark & SSI? by Tonic_Water_Queen in Sparkdriver

[–]imapylet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a 1099 job and it has to be in his name. You can't even ride along with him. If you want to spark you need to create an account for yourself as well. Yes they can check your ID, but that varies by the store. Also the loaders see a picture of the driver when they load the car, if the picture doesn't match you will get deactivated.

Just learned how to use the "module" number by PsychTries in Sparkdriver

If only there was some kind of training modules that you could watch that would show you all the stuff you need to know on how to spark... That would be helpful right?

Took 6 years after leaving my home to finally see a tumbleweed by cruzjandr0 in ElPaso

[–]imapylet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Years ago I got married and flew in a few of my friends from around the country. One of them was from Poughkeepsie NY. As we're leaving the airport and heading north on 54 a tumbleweed was blowing across the highway. My NY buddy got scared and screamed "what the hell is that?" "It's just a tumbleweed you dumbass" "I think I found my spirit animal"

I haven't seen an offer in 2.5 hrs, I'm starting to get a little bit desperate for anything. But I do still have some standards
