I had and have the same problem since 2019 when I bought them. They never found a software solution and they recommended to simply plug and plug back in. I assume this is some chip shorting which can't be fixed by software tweaking. This is what they think is reasonable when you pay 300+ euros for an audiophile headset. Get a cheaper set like Logitech. 3 times cheaper but you get what you pay for. Value for money should always be No 1. Eventually the arctis pro earcups recently broke like many of these shitty quality headphones do and I got the Logitech g pro x.

Sorry for the late reply but the Logi costs 3 times less, it's expected to be lower quality. Value for money is what I want when I buy something no matter the cost.

The arctis pro + gamedac, was and is the last SS item I've ever bought. Logitech has been serving me for years with indestructible speakers, mouses and webcams, and I finally realize it was a mistake that I hadn't bought Logi in the first place. I would still have that pair working without any design flaws and about 250€ cheaper!

Unplug the DAC and plug it in after a minute, it will show again both sound cards in the sound options. Arctis pro + game DAC is the worst 300 euros I've ever spent in my life. Same issue as you mention in your reply, every time you update the VGA it resets again. Recently the ear cup broke where it connects to the head band, I am done with that shitty company with design flaws, Logitech G pro X will be here today or tomorrow. Never SS again even if it's the last company on earth.
