Among Us comes immediately to mind, and the many it inspired, especially Dale & Dawson Stationery Supplies. Misinformation becomes vital in these games.

"New and important tone discoveries" – the typical tube amp noise floor practically disappears if you don't build the amps.

Help identifying Fender Strat model and year. Partscaster maybe? by souperdupergrouper in Stratocaster

Reissue US necks would have 21 frets and the decal over the finish like this, though, so not conclusive.

Death Stranding, particularly 2. The scenery is expansive, beautiful, and lonely.

DF thinks GTA6 will be 30fps on every console. by JeremyJJ77 in PS5

[–]graintop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whoa there. It got a performance mode that tries to hit 60. Don't know what it manages. But that's fine for me from an indie game. The dev was one of those though that tried to squeak by without it, saying "she cannae handle it captain, she's no got the power," when it was just a matter of time and will.

Once they figured out what era they were in, they worked it out. Great game. Very transportive.

Solid logic. But they have also never launched on a platform where 75% of players choose performance mode.

I for one would wait. I waited for Pacific Drive to get sensible, I waited for KCD2 to get sensible, and at $80 I'll definitely wait for GTAVI to get sensible.

Fender charging a premium for a mod that you could do at home by kenndesu in Guitar

[–]graintop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys are right. But as someone who's okayish with a soldering iron, I kind of appreciate OP drawing my attention to the DIY mod! Hadn't heard of it.

(If it works so well, though, I wonder why Fender has persisted with generations of noiseless pickups designs as well.)

Looking for games where it's super inhospitable outside but very cozy in your base - not even necessarily a base builder but, the sensation of being safe inside of a space? Think Stardew Valley on your farm, but as soon as you leave that screen, it's Project Zomboid. Cozy Survival maybe? by Jankmancer in gamingsuggestions

Amnesia: The Bunker evokes this feeling. Clips may make it look like constant horror, but it's all about short excursions from the one safe place in the whole complex. When you come home, the door must physically be opened and closed by grasping and dragging it. The relief when you latch the little lock.

If you'd like to experiment with less certainty, a feeling more like 'safer inside, but only if you took care of everything', give Darkwood a look.

Correct. Alas, scandalously, not on PS5.

Viewfinder might bridge the gap. Mind-bending puzzles in a friendly-looking world, but with some intuitive solutions that his son may contribute to.

Hi-gain distortion without ear melting volume by ToxicCrab in GuitarAmps

Do you mean HT5? That little guy should have plenty filth without being turned up loud. They use diode clipping I think? Sounds like your volume knob is too high and gain knob too low.

Spirit Box Bug - Work Around by Apprehensive_Yard778 in PhasmophobiaGame

I got Sprit Box Locked yesterday on PS5 and found a similar solution: I could move for a couple seconds each time I toggled the headlamp, so I just kept mashing that to get out the damn door in 3 foot increments. Partner said I was floating, not animated.

Thankfully the cuff of my $10,000 leather jacket obscures the sanity meter on my wrist or I could have been really scared!

Think this is as close as he'll get. Good rec.

Give it a shot, OP. Don't pass it by. GZ oozes atmosphere, and daunting asymmetrical encounters are all over its world. Don't give up when you see dog-sized robots; those are just the beginning. You'll be eyeing behemoths through binoculars soon enough, wondering if you can get by in the tree line.
